Ningbang temple is located on the dome mountain in the west of Suzhou. There is a Ningbang temple at Ermao peak of qionglong mountain. It seems that it is a hermit. Ningbang Temple

Located at the northern foot of dome mountain, it was built in the Liang Dynasty, surrounded by dense forests, towering ancient trees and green bamboo.

Up to now, there are two stone carvings of Ming Dynasty in the temple. One is the record of Ningbang temple built in Liang Dynasty, which was written by Wen Zhenmeng and carved by Zhao Huanguang; the other is the shutiaoshi of Shan Hui Chuan Mei, which was written by Xu Fang.

Ningbang temple has "play platform" in the West and "Baizhang spring" under the platform. It is not dry for a long time and is clear. It is really an ancient temple in the deep mountains and a bright moon spring. It is a scenic spot for enjoying the moon.

It is said that Han Shizhong, a famous general of the Southern Song Dynasty, often came to live here for a short time in his later years to visit his subordinates, watch the moon and worry about the country.

Dome mountain

Dome mountain is the most famous mountain in Suzhou. Its main peak is ruomao peak, with an altitude of 341.7 meters. It is the highest mountain on the East Bank of Taihu Lake. Historical evolution

Founded in the Liang Dynasty, it was called "Haiyun Temple" before the Tang Dynasty. In the Song Dynasty, Han Shizhong, a famous anti Jin general, lived in seclusion here to participate in Buddhism, and was granted "Ningbang Temple".

The word "peaceful state" is also a peaceful state. I hope the country can be peaceful and peaceful. Although the Ningbang temple is hidden in the deep Ningbang dock, it has still experienced a thousand years of twists and turns. According to Wu county annals, Ningbang temple was destroyed at the end of Yuan Dynasty. It was rebuilt in Yongle period of Ming Dynasty and rebuilt in Wanli period.

At the end of Ming Dynasty, Ningbang Temple declined again. In modern times, people have made some repairs to Ningbang temple.

During the cultural revolution, the monks were expelled, the Buddha statues were destroyed, and there were only a few dilapidated rooms left.

Due to the numerous cultural relics and historic sites, Ningbang temple was listed as a cultural relic protection unit of Wu County on March 25, 1986.

In 2008, with the approval of Suzhou religious department, Ningbang temple was reopened as a fixed place for religious activities.

In order to protect this historical relic and build the reputation of Ningbang temple, the government of Wuzhong District and relevant departments have carried out a comprehensive planning for Ningbang temple, which took more than one year to repair and expand. As a result, the old deep mountain temple has turned into a famous mountain temple, and has become another new tourist attraction of dome mountain scenic spot.
