The tower is 25 meters high, with seven levels and eight sides. There is an arched false tower gate in the middle, four hidden and four visible. There are small windows on both sides of the gate top. The iron brake on the top of the tower and the eaves on each floor have been damaged, but the tower is still in good condition.
Climbing on the tower, you can have a panoramic view of the southern suburbs.
Located in Niushou mountain, it was first built in 774, the ninth year of Dali in Tang Dynasty. According to legend, it was built by Emperor Li Yu in Tang Dynasty to "feel the dream" and later destroyed. Now the tower is rebuilt in the early Ming Dynasty. HongJue Temple Pagoda is the most magnificent existing brick imitation wood structure Pavilion style Pagoda in Nanjing, and also the oldest and largest existing brick Pagoda in Nanjing.
