Pingjiang Uprising Memorial Hall
The former site of Pingjiang uprising is located in the former Tianyue academy, which is 1.5km east of Pingjiang county. Now it is in the campus of No.1 Middle School in Pingjiang county. The Academy faces north from the south, with brick and wood structures such as the main gate, middle hall, back hall and dongxizhai, covering an area of 3000 square meters. Above the gate are the four characters of "Tianyue academy" written by Li ciqing, a famous scholar in the Qing Dynasty. In the middle of the inner wall of the gate is a plaque written by Comrade Chen Yun on "Pingjiang Uprising Memorial Hall".
brief introduction
In June 1928, the first regiment and the Third Battalion of the third regiment of the Hunan independent Fifth Division of the National Revolutionary Army led by Peng Dehuai stationed in Pingjiang. Inspired by the Nanchang Uprising and the Autumn Harvest Uprising, the Pingjiang uprising was launched in Tianyue Academy. The former site of the uprising, Tianyue academy, was founded in 1720 A.D., with a brick and wood structure and an area of 2700 square meters. After liberation, it was expanded into the first complete middle school in Pingjiang county. The houses of Peng Dehuai and Teng Daiyuan were restored and displayed, and a new cultural relics exhibition room was opened. In 1982, Comrade Chen Yun inscribed the plaque of "Pingjiang Uprising Memorial Hall". This is the demonstration base of patriotism education in Hunan Province. The museum is a national key cultural relic protection unit. In 1992, a memorial hall of Comrade Yu Jie, inscribed by Comrade Wang Bingqian, was set up on the left side of the museum.
The Pingjiang Uprising Memorial, which started construction in early 2007, has a total investment of nearly 40 million yuan and officially opened in July 2008. It is composed of the former site of Pingjiang uprising, pengdehuai Bronze Statue Square and Pingjiang uprising historical materials exhibition hall. Among them, the Pingjiang uprising historical materials museum includes the contents of "citing righteousness to Pingjiang city", "going to Jinggangshan", "fighting in Hunan, Hubei and Jiangxi", etc., which eulogizes the revolutionary spirit of the Chinese Communists who are not afraid of sacrifice and pursue liberation.
There are more than 70 objects on display in the museum, including more than 200 pictures. The museum makes full use of sound, light, electricity and other modern display means to truly reproduce the scene of the uprising troops fighting bravely.
Basic Display
The exhibition of historical materials of Pingjiang uprising, brilliant achievements of Comrade Peng Dehuai, biographies of Teng Daiyuan and Huang Gonglue, and glorious Pingjiang uprising group takes the event as the main line, takes the life of the characters as the context, and adopts the display method of mainly pictures, supplemented by text description and physical display. The former site of the Pingjiang uprising was restored and displayed according to the conditions of the barracks, soldiers' dormitory and Comrade Peng Dehuai's house at the time of the incident.
