Huangmei County Museum
Huangmei County Museum is a comprehensive museum, which is located in the south of fomuta Temple Park in the southwest of Huangmei County, Hubei Province. It is the main building in the south of the park. It covers an area of 35 mu, with a total construction area of 8000 square meters and a total investment of 60 million yuan. The new hall is an archaic building which reflects the combination of Wu and Chu culture, and takes the garden style building group as the combination form.
Basic Display
In June 1993, jiaodun pebble sculpture dragon exhibition unearthed "jiaodun pebble sculpture dragon, the first dragon of the Yangtze River", which proved that Huangmei East Hubei Yangtze River Basin is also one of the birthplaces of Chinese civilization.
Huangmei was once the center of Chinese Buddhism, known as "little Tianzhu". A large number of pagoda buildings and inscriptions on cliffs since the Tang Dynasty have been preserved here. Among them, Pilu pagoda and Zhongsheng pagoda, Liu Gongquan's "Jasper flow", Liu Zongyuan's "Jasper flow in front of the broken forehead mountain" and Su Dongpo's "liuxiang" inscriptions are the most famous.
Collection
Jiaodun pebble plastic dragon is made of pebbles of different colors and sizes under the surface of the pre filled red burnt soil according to the painted patterns. The dragon is 4.46 meters long and 2.26 meters high. The whole dragon is mature in shape, grand in momentum, strong in movement, and like taking off.
Among the unearthed cultural relics of gaotasi pagoda, stone letters, silver bottles, relics, relics, gold buttons, crystal beads, all kinds of copper coins and inscriptions on pagodas are the most prominent.
Part of the cultural relics of Wuzu Temple mainly include the treasure of Wuzu temple, the real body seal of Wuzu Daman, the woodcut floor of the full picture of Wuzu Xianshan in Qing Dynasty, and two pieces of exquisite Woodcarving in Song Dynasty, the figurines of male and female waiters.
Part of the cultural relics of the fourth patriarch Temple mainly include the waist dropping stone of the sixth patriarch and one bronze and one wooden statue of Lelu Buddha. Liuzu waist dropping stone is the material evidence of liuzu Huineng's hard work in pursuing Buddhism and eventually being granted alms and bowls. It weighs about 50 Jin and is engraved with the words "liuzu waist dropping stone" and "the first year of Tang longshuo" on the front.
