Xinlongmen Bridge

Chongqing Wushan new Longmen Bridge is located in Wushan County, Chongqing, a 5A scenic spot. After the final impoundment of the Three Gorges reservoir, more than 2 / 3 of the main arch ring of the old Longmen Bridge will be submerged, and the clearance under the bridge will not meet the navigation requirements, which will not only affect the normal tourism and shipping of the small Three Gorges, but also seriously affect the safety of the bridge structure. Therefore, demolishing the old bridge to build a new one is a powerful guarantee for the smooth passage of Yuba road and the smooth navigation under the bridge after the final impoundment. After the completion of the new Longmen Bridge, it will form a sister bridge with Wushan Yangtze River Highway Bridge. Wushan new Longmen Bridge is located next to Wushan County, at the entrance of Longmen gorge 90m downstream of the old Longmen Bridge. The main span is 240m half through CFST Tied Arch Bridge. There are two arch ribs in the whole bridge, each rib has 13 sections and 11 cross braces, which are lifted into arch by cable without support. The bridge was started in April 2007 and completed in April 2009. The total investment is nearly 70 million. The construction unit of the bridge is Chongqing Transportation Committee, the construction unit is Sichuan highway and bridge construction group, and the supervision unit is Chongqing Yucai Supervision Consulting Co., Ltd. It was officially opened to traffic on January 30, 2010
