Lushuiwan National Urban Wetland Park is located in Jiangpu street, Pukou District, Nanjing. It is the first National Urban Wetland Park in Nanjing. It is located in the southeast of the Yangtze River. The upstream starts from the Third Yangtze River Bridge in Nanjing, and the downstream ends at Weiqi road cross river tunnel. It is planned to cross both sides of the Yangtze River levee in lushuiwan area, with a total area of about 15 square kilometers. It is an ecological park integrating tourism, fishery and agriculture.

The planning area of Nanjing lushuiwan National Urban Wetland Park is 21.36 square kilometers, of which the water area is 8.42 square kilometers, accounting for 39.4% of the total area. The planning scope is as follows: outside the Yangtze River levee, the water area of Lushui Bay is the center, including the area of Wetland Resources Concentration in the East and the West; part of the marshland extending from the downstream of weiqi road Yangtze River tunnel; and the west side is bounded by Binjiang Road in the master plan. The park is divided into two parts by the Yangtze River embankment. The terrain inside the embankment is flat, with a large number of beaches, reeds, Jujube Gardens and orchards. The original ecology is maintained well.
The wetland exhibition area will also be equipped with an air walk plank road to connect with the road network. Here, it is planned to form a "seven horizontal and one vertical" channel, "one vertical" refers to Binjiang Road, while "seven horizontal" can be divided into three + 4 modes, namely the three Yangtze River bridges, ring road and river crossing tunnel, three transit channels connecting with the main city, and four urban trunk roads, namely Xuetang Road, lushuiwan South Road, Tuanjie road and chengnanhe road.

Lushuiwan Wetland Park is dominated by wetland landform. It includes two types of wetlands: River and swamp wetlands in freshwater wetlands, freshwater aquaculture in constructed wetlands, agricultural wetlands and water storage areas.
climate
This area is located in the North source of subtropical zone, with mild climate, abundant rainfall, four distinct seasons, complex and diverse topography, and various wetland types, which is extremely beneficial to the growth of various animals.
Biology
Large areas of aquatic forests, reeds, a variety of birds and other local aquatic and hygrophyte species. Plants include cultivated plants and native wild plants. Artificial cultivation of rice, soybean, corn, lotus root, water bamboo and a variety of vegetables, melon and fruit crops, mulberry, willow, poplar, persimmon and other trees. There are wild herbs such as Alternanthera philoxeroides, Artemisia selengensis, water candle, water chestnut, Xanthium sibiricum, Broussonetia papyrifera, Sapium sebiferum, Sophora japonica and other trees. Most of the animal resources are insects, birds, fish and crabs. Insects mainly include ladybugs, grasshoppers, butterflies, dragonflies and other common species. Birds include Ardeidae, duck dove, brown backed Shrike and so on.

Lushui Bay belongs to the natural geographical area of the plain in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. It is located on the Bank of the Yangtze River. It is formed by the sedimentation of the Yangtze River. Geologically, it is mainly the floodplain sediments, and the soil is soft and fertile. The downstream of Lushui Bay receives Chengnan River into the river, which is partly affected by its water. The water area and marshes are widely distributed in the planning area, and the water surface accounts for nearly 70% of the total area in summer. The green water bay area is divided into two parts by the Yangtze River Levee. The terrain in the dike is flat, and the water system in the dike is connected with canals and ponds. The water level is usually maintained at 5 to 6 meters, covering an area of 22500 mu (including the first section of Binjiang Avenue). Mainly rice, vegetable field, more lotus pond fish pond, the floor height is between 6 to 7 meters. The outer part of the levee is divided into three parts: the environment surrounded by the levee and the outer levee, the waters of the green water bay, and the east bank.
The Yangtze River levee in Lushui Bay has a high elevation and good visibility. It looks at the vast Yangtze River in the East and the fields and fields in the West.
