Gezhouba Shiplock
Gezhouba ship lock refers to the gate for ships in the navigation project of Gezhouba hub. Gezhouba Water Control Project is the first large-scale water control project built on the main stream of the Yangtze River in China, known as "the first dam of the Yangtze River".
Gezhouba navigation project is "two lines and three gates". Since its opening to navigation in June 1981, as a counter regulation navigation cascade project built in cooperation with the Three Gorges project, the navigation conditions of 120 km water area in the Three Gorges area of the Yangtze River have been greatly improved, and a large number of freighters have entered and left the Chuanjiang River safely and smoothly.
Historical evolution
In 1981, at the beginning of navigation, the annual freight volume of Gezhouba was less than 4 million tons. The first cargo ship "Changjiang" and passenger ship "Dongfanghong" were the top representative ships at that time, but now they have been eliminated due to limited transport capacity.
Since its opening to navigation in June 1981, Gezhouba Shiplock has been climbing all the way.
In 1982, the cargo throughput of Gezhouba Shiplock was about 3.47 million tons, less than 4 million tons.
Since 1982, it has increased every year.
In 1992, it exceeded 9 million tons, doubled from 1982, and then increased significantly.
In 1994, it broke through the 10 million tons mark for the first time.
At about 10:00 on December 12, 2011, "Changhang Jiyun" and other fully loaded cargo ships sailed into Gezhouba No.2 ship lock, marking that the annual cargo volume of "Wanli No.1 dam" Gezhouba ship lock exceeded 100 million tons for the first time after 30 years of operation. In the past 30 years, Gezhouba ship lock has operated nearly 400000 times safely, passed about 2.11 million ships, and passed more than 680 million tons of goods. It is 28 times higher than that in 1981.
Main significance
The rising freight volume of the Yangtze River is mainly due to the rapid development of economy and shipping industry along the Yangtze River in recent years. The degree of large-scale, standardized and specialized ships has increased year by year. Nowadays, more than half of the ships passing through the lock are large cargo ships of more than 2000 tons, and more than 5000 tons account for 15%. 2011 is the first year for inland water transport to rise to the national development strategy. The annual freight volume for the first time exceeds 100 million tons, which is a milestone for the development of the golden waterway of the Yangtze River.
Navigation standard
Lock design
1. The effective size of No.2 lock chamber is 280m * 34m * 5m. It can pass a fleet with a total cargo capacity of 12000-16000 tons at a time, and the time for each passing is about 12-15 minutes. The effective size of No.3 lock chamber is 120m * 18m * 3.5m. It mainly passes through passenger and freight ships and local fleets of less than 3000t. The time for passing the lock is about 40 minutes each time, and the flushing and discharging time is about 7.8-8.7 minutes.
Maximum horsepower
In the near future, the largest fleet is "three barges and one top", that is, a 2000 horsepower tugboat pushes three 1500 and 1000 ton shuttle ships. In the future (after the completion of the Three Gorges Project), the largest fleet is "four barges and one top", that is, a 4000 horsepower tugboat pushes four 3000 ton barges.
Navigable flow
Normal navigation flow of three rivers: 45000m3 / S;
The recent maximum navigable flow of the three rivers is 60000m3 / s;
The maximum navigable flow of the river: 20000m3 / S;
Navigable water level
Upstream: ▽ 66 ± 0.5m
Downstream:
Maximum water level: ▽ 61m
Maximum navigable water level: ▽ 54.5m
Lowest navigable water level: ▽ 39m
Freight volume exceeded 100 million tons for the first time
Fracture event
On January 4, 2015, according to the recent equipment inspection conducted by the Three Gorges navigation administration, horizontal through cracks were found at the bottom of the miter gate at the right lower part of Gezhouba No.3 ship lock, which caused serious water leakage and lost its water sealing function, thus causing potential safety hazards.
On January 5, 2015, it was decided to organize the implementation of emergency repair. The rush repair will start at 13:00 on January 5 and is expected to end at 13:00 on January 10. During the emergency repair of Gezhouba No.3 shiplock, the No.1 and No.2 shiplocks of Gezhouba matched with the South and North shiplocks of the Three Gorges Project. In order to ensure the navigation order during the emergency repair period, the Three Gorges navigation administration has carried out careful deployment, and informed the ship party of the emergency repair arrangement in advance through various channels such as network, GPS shipboard terminal, SMS and fax, to remind the ship party to follow the dispatching command and pay attention to the daily plan.
