Dongtou island is located in the ocean 33 nautical miles outside the Oujiang Estuary of Wenzhou. It is one of the 12 island counties in China. It is composed of 103 islands and is known as "hundred island county". A hundred islands are like a hundred pearls scattered in a vast expanse of blue waves. Dongtou is the only maritime county and city in Zhejiang Province, 33 nautical miles away from Wenzhou. Main attractions

Dongtou is famous in China for its movie "Haixia" and "Dongtou vanguard women's militia company". Now, a new "Haixia military theme park" has been built here, which includes live firing, battlefield mine detection, Huashan dangerous road, jungle war Road and survival training, so that you can experience the style of military camp life. The giant stone Ferris in xiandieyan scenic area is of strange shape, mainly including xiandieyan, pearl reef, Gulang cave, human Sphinx, toad desire for immortality, Dasha'ao bathing beach, etc. Standing under the huge stone of xiandieyan, you can see Banping mountain from afar. The shallow sea on one side of the East China Sea is a Porphyra culture area.

Banping mountain is a small island, facing the East China Sea is a cliff, like a knife cut general, not long vegetation, legend of the other half of Banping mountain in Taiwan. The cliffs of Banping mountain are strangely shaped and stretch for several kilometers. They are mainly windward screen, mud cow like sea, golden seal, peacock screen, Wulong tenghai, etc. they look like a natural rock carving scroll, so they are also known as the first screen on the sea of China.

Zhuyu scenic area is composed of big and small Zhuyu, Hutou Island, bird island, etc. there are thousands of square meters of lawns on the big and small Zhuyu islands, which are good places to watch sunrise, sea fishing, bird watching and camping.

Wanghai tower

Wanghai tower is built at the highest place on the island, 227 meters above sea level. The building was first built in 434 AD and has a history of more than 1500 years. It was originally located in Qingao mountain (today's Damen Island). The floor is three bright and five dark, with a height of 35.4 meters. It faces south in the north. There are viewing corridors on the third and fifth floors of the building. You can see the general picture of Dongtou from a distance. To the south are Dongtou fishing port and Banping mountain, to the East are new and old urban areas, to the West are seven sea crossing bridges, and to the north are the sea and Islands.

Cents Permian rocks

Xiandieyan, located in the southeast of Dongtou Island, is 2.7 kilometers away from the county seat. It is backed by the mountain and faces the sea. The cliffs are thousands of feet high. The grotesque rocks are jagged. The rocks are stacked and leaning against each other. It seems to be falling. It is in danger. It is as stable as Mount Tai despite the wind and rain. The rocks are stacked like immortals.

Guanyin lion training

"Guanyin lion training" is the most prominent landscape on Pearl reef. It is composed of two reefs: on the right side, the independent and towering bluestone rock is wide at the bottom and narrow at the top. It looks like Guanyin Bodhisattva. It has a kind and peaceful manner, and the waves come in like Guanyin sitting on the lotus platform; on the left side, the red reef rock is 15 meters high and more than 20 meters long, shaped like a red lion, sitting in the West and facing northeast. Lie down and look up and listen to the teaching of Guanyin.

Banping mountain

Banping mountain cliffs along the coast, like a knife cut axe chop, mountain into half valves, upright thousand Ren. It is said that due to geological changes, Banping mountain has been torn into two parts, half here and the other half in Taiwan. The sea natural rock carving corridor, which stretches for several kilometers, is unique in China and known as "the first screen in China's sea".

Traffic information

Wenzhou to Dongtou, anlanting wharf, the fast boat leaves at 9:30 and 11:30.

From Dongtou to Wenzhou, the first high-speed ship leaves at 9:00, and there is a ship in about an hour.

From Dongtou to Longwan (a coastal area of Wenzhou), the first high-speed boat leaves at 8:30, and there is a special bus to Wenzhou.

Special issues

It's windy on the sea. You'd better put on your coat. If it wasn't for calm and seasickness, the natural cliff of Banping mountain would not have been photographed.

Most of the taxis on the island are Santana. They drive very fast on the road around the mountain, and they also turn around. Their driving skills are absolutely first-class. It is said that they deserve to be hit in the middle of the road. We are skeptical about it, but all the way through, the local people walk along the roadside.
