Tieshan Forest Park

Tieshan Forest Park is located in the western suburb of Dazhou City, Sichuan Province, 23 kilometers away from the city center, with a forest area of more than 40000 mu. It has 14 natural landscapes and historical sites, such as Yanggong temple, tieshanguan, zhongguanyin, dengzhanwo, etc. it is known as the "Potala Palace" in Northeast Sichuan and a summer resort in Northeast Sichuan. In December 2006, the State Forestry Administration approved the establishment of Tieshan National Forest Park.

Tieshan mountain range extends from north to south, exposing Triassic siliceous Brown hard sandstone, the stone color is like iron, so it is named Tieshan. Due to its proximity to the urban area, the development of Tieshan Forest Park will be different from the existing large-scale tourist attractions in Dazhou, focusing on Ecological vacation and urban leisure.

About the park

Tieshan park is northeast southwest. It starts from xiangdongzhai and Xiaojianshan in the South and ends at yanggongmiao and tieshanguan in the north. It is about 10 km long and 0.4-1.2 km wide. It belongs to the subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forest belt, with a forest coverage rate of 85.3%. The climate is mild, with an average annual temperature of 13.7 degrees Celsius and an average altitude of 880 meters. The mountain atmosphere is first-class determined by the state.

The territory of lush green trees, a wide variety of animals and plants. Pines and cypresses, Cryptomeria fortunei, Cinnamomum camphora, camellia, etc. compete to show off, with mountains and hills overlapping, and the sound of pines and green waves; Tieshan mineral spring, Chimonanthus praecox, Rhododendron, tieshanlan, pangolin, red bellied Caragana are quite famous. It is a good summer resort in Northeast Sichuan.

Tieshan park is the most concentrated area of natural landscape and cultural historical sites in Tieshan. There are 14 natural landscapes and historical sites, including Yanggong temple, tieshanguan, jianshanguan, Xiaojianshan temple, Zhong Guanyin, xianrenmao, dengzhanwo, etc. Integrated with nature, it adds infinite charm to Tieshan park.

Tourism development

On February 13, 2017, Dazhou Municipal government and Sichuan Energy Investment Group signed the framework agreement on comprehensive tourism development and investment management of Tieshan National Forest Park. According to the agreement, the provincial energy investment group will make unified planning, construction and operation of Tieshan project based on the three themes of ecological health, leisure and urban recreation. The investment scale of the project is no less than 3 billion yuan, the development and construction cycle is 5 years, and the project is completed in two phases.
