The relic tower was built in 601, the first year of Renshou, Emperor Wen of the Sui Dynasty. It was a wooden structure at that time and was later destroyed. The existing tower was built during the Southern Tang Dynasty (937-975). According to the original wood structure of the tower, the stone tenon joint method was used to reconstruct. The stone tower is 18 meters high, with five levels and eight sides. On the wall, there are reliefs, four heavenly kings and Buddhist scriptures. The reliefs on the tower base show the eight phases of Sakyamuni's life: birth, travel, surpassing the city, becoming Tao, saying, subduing demons and destroying people. Each statue is a masterpiece of Buddhist art in the Five Dynasties of China, with rigorous structure, lifelike characters, delicate carving of clothing and appliances, and full of imagination. It was rebuilt in 1058. It has six sides and seven floors. It is a pavilion style solid brick tower. Its height is 26.4 meters, its base is made of brick, each side is 2.30 meters wide, and xumizuo is 1.60 meters high. There are leaning pillars and niches on each side of each floor, which are shaped like a pot door. The Jade Buddha is built in, and the Jade Buddha on the bottom four floors has been stolen. There are two brick buttresses on the top of the two buttresses, which make a single frame for the four pavilions. The waist eaves are composed of water chestnut teeth, wind chimes are hung on the eaves, and the top tower brake is complete. The exquisite shape is rare in Song pagodas in the province. In 1981, it was listed as a key cultural relic protection unit at the provincial level. Now it is a national key cultural relic protection unit.
