Huoqiu shuimentang Park

Shuimentang Park in Huoqiu County, located in the North Development Zone of Huoqiu County, is a medium-sized reservoir. According to historical records, shuimentang is an earlier water conservancy project in China. It was built in 622 BC by sun shuao, the leader of the Chu Dynasty. It was called dayepi in ancient times and has a history of more than 2600 years. The initial water storage area is more than 10000 mu, and the length of the dike is more than 10 km. The dike is built around the pond to store water. There are 46 wave islands in the pond, which is called "Thousand Island Lake" in West Anhui.

Park Landscape

In the pond, grass, trees and various green plants are naturally green, with towering trees and luxuriant grass; tens of thousands of egrets and other migratory birds settle down on the island, presenting the poetic scene of "a line of egrets in the sky"; in the Qingqing pond, there are many kinds of water treasures, such as herring and prawns, which are pleasing to the eye, relaxing for fishing, and delicious for eating; the roads and islands in the pond are connected, with lush trees and egrets on the island Flying; the vast water surface, fish flying shallow bottom, forming a ten mile long embankment, ten mile trees, thousands of acres of water surface waves of beauty.

Since 1985, it has invested more than 30 million yuan to strengthen the park's infrastructure construction and scenic spot development, built a number of pavilions, bridges, waterside pavilions, Cuizhu Island Hotel, Dragon Palace and other buildings, and built a three storey memorial tower "yepi Pavilion" and a full-length statue of sun shuao on yepi Island. Today's shuimen pond has changed its appearance, the park is new, the landscape is beautiful, the Diaoyu Island is quiet and scattered, the animal island is various, the children's paradise is wonderful, the ancient pond is like a paradise, the ancient pond is like a maiden's feeling, which makes you feel relaxed and happy and forget to return.

Huoqiu County shuimentang reservoir reinforcement project successfully completed the underwater part of the construction task. So far, the reservoir will be able to store water normally to ensure the agricultural production in the reservoir area.

Shuimentang reservoir is a National Water Conservancy Scenic Spot, integrating agricultural irrigation, tourism and aquaculture, with an effective irrigation area of 39000 mu. In 2008, the provincial development and Reform Commission approved the preliminary design of shuimentang reservoir reinforcement project, mainly implementing dam reinforcement, building demolition and reconstruction, dam slope protection, dike Top Road, management facilities and other engineering construction, with a total investment of 28.26 million yuan.

Since the commencement of the project on October 1, 2009, in order to speed up the construction progress, ensure the reservoir to give full play to the comprehensive benefits as soon as possible, all participating units have completed the underwater part of the construction tasks ahead of time by seizing sunny days and cloudy days, working overtime on holidays and cooperating with each other, providing water guarantee for the spring cultivation production in the reservoir area.

Development projects

There are mainly yepi Pavilion, sun Gong temple, Huayan Temple; 2. Leisure and entertainment area: including water park, children's paradise, elderly activity center, fishing center, cruise center, holiday village, flower center, bird island, etc.; 3. Other supporting facilities: green belt and slope protection, power supply, water supply and drainage facilities, park roads, etc. It was rebuilt in 2013 and became more beautiful. It has not been repaired in 2014.
