Place name introduction
Dushikou, located in the north of Chicheng County, Hebei Province, is an important pass in Xuanfu town of the great wall of the Ming Dynasty. It is known as "the throat of the upper valley and the right arm of the capital". Because there is a solitary stone rising from the ground at the pass, it gets its name. This single stone towering in front of the pass is engraved with two groups of characters: "sudden and lonely show" and "a stone flying". Dushi city is located in the north-south flow between the two rivers, the left for the Huanglong River, the right for the Qinglong River, backed by spider mountain, so there is "two dragon play pearl" said. At the end of Yuan Dynasty and the beginning of Ming Dynasty, it was famous as "Shuofang barrier". In 1424, Zhu Di, the emperor of Ming Dynasty, was stationed at Dushi Dayue during his northern expedition. In 1430, he moved Pingwei (today's Duolun, Inner Mongolia) to build Guancheng, which was first rammed with loess and then covered with green bricks. During the 200 years of Ming Dynasty, there were frequent wars and few days of border Thailand. Dushikou was conquered by the Mongolian Wala tribe and the city of Guancheng was destroyed. At that time, Qian Zong, named Tian Kun, died in the battle. Tian Kun's daughter led her soldiers to fight against Japan in blood. At last, she was outnumbered and was surrounded on the cliff south of the pass. Unwilling to be captured and bullied, she jumped off the cliff to die for her country. In memory of the heroine, the later generations took this cliff as a sacrifice cliff. In dushikou City, there used to be an exquisite dushikou temple. There were four scenes in the temple: no beam hall, no shadow tower, no hole bridge and no bell. It is said that the shadow of the tower will not be thrown into the ground from sunrise to sunset on a sunny day. The reason is still unclear.
