Wenxi County Museum, founded on August 17, 1984, is a local comprehensive museum based on the cultural relics group of the former county cultural center.
Development history
Wenxi County Museum was founded on August 17, 1984. It was established on the basis of the cultural relics group of the original County Cultural Museum. The collection of cultural relics began as early as the 1950s.
architectural composition
Wenxi County Museum uses the ancient Confucian temple, and newly built exhibition rooms and offices, with a construction area of 1100 square meters. The Confucian temple is an ancient building complex rebuilt in the fourth year of Xianping in the Northern Song Dynasty. It has been rebuilt from generation to generation, and now maintains the style of yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, covering an area of 25000 square meters.
Collection
Wenxi County Museum has more than 2400 cultural relics, mainly historical relics. Among them, there are more than ten categories, such as ancient calligraphy and painting, stone tools, bronzes, pottery, porcelain, jade, tablet inscriptions, brick carvings, etc.
There are two special exhibitions: the first exhibition hall is the exhibition of Pei's cultural relics. The second exhibition hall is Yang Shenxiu's deeds exhibition. The number of exhibits is more than 200, mainly including steles, epitaphs, pottery, works and spies.
The museum has published a brief introduction to the Pei family.
