Jiegu town
The name of the old town. See Jiegu street for details. Yuanjie ancient town is an important town in the south of Qinghai Province. It is the capital of Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, a town under the jurisdiction of Yushu City, and the residence of the prefecture and municipal government.
"Jiegu" means "goods distribution center" in Tibetan. The Yangtze River flows through it, and it has become the first densely populated place in the Yangtze River Basin.
Evolution of organizational system
Jiegu city was established in 1951, the first Xiaoge (District) in 1952, Jiegu town in 1956, Hongqi commune in 1958, Jiegu Township in 1963, Jiegu town in 1965, Jiegu commune in 1972 and Jiegu town in 1984.
In 2013, the provincial government (qingzhenghan [2013] No. 146) approved the cancellation of Jiegu town.
In 2014, Jiegu street, Xihang street, zhaxike street and Xinzhai street were established (yuzhenghan [2014] No.1).

geographical environment
Located in Zhaqu (River) valley of Southern Qinghai Plateau, Zhaqu (River) flows from northwest to Southeast and joins Tongtian River (Yangtze River).
It is an important transportation, military and trade town along the ancient Tang and Tibetan roads, with a long history. Since ancient times, it has been an important trade town among Xining, Qinghai, Kangding, Sichuan and Lhasa, Tibet. It is located in the east of the city.
Population nationality
The population is 23000, mainly Tibetan, accounting for 79% of the total population, covering an area of 807.7 square kilometers and an altitude of 3681 meters.

The industry is mainly commerce and service industry. The combination of agriculture and animal husbandry, mainly animal husbandry, Grazing Yaks, sheep, horses, etc., planting highland barley, rape, etc.

There is a Princess Wencheng temple in beinagou, which is a provincial cultural relic protection unit.
There is also Xinzhai Mani stone mound, which has a high reputation among religious people. Every year, the state celebration is held here on July 25. Tourists from provinces, prefectures, cities and foreign countries come here for business and sightseeing.
In Xinzhai village, 3 kilometers away from Jiegu Town, there is the largest manidui in the world. At present, manidui is 240 meters long from east to west, 74 meters wide from north to south, and 3 meters high. It is said that there are more than 2 billion mani stones, and the Scriptures engraved on all mani stones have nearly 20 billion words, which can be called "the first stone carving Library in the world".
Transportation: there are No.1 and No.2 minibuses from Jiegu town to Xinzhai, and they stop at once.
Dangka Temple
Located about 10 kilometers away from Jiegu Town, the temple built on the mountain is magnificent. There are two closed houses in dangka temple, one is da Yuanman closed house (the closed period is two years);
The first is the big hand seal closed house (the closing period is three years and three days in March). It is a very strict closed house. There are 108 wood carvings in dangka temple, which are divided into two layers. The upper class is mostly Bodhisattva, while the lower class shows the right and wrong and retribution in the world (mostly represented by women being punished, dismembered and ripped). There is a Dharma meeting every month in dangka temple. The believers can pray for prosperity, relief of adversity, increase happiness and prolong life. Transportation: you can take No.1 or No.2 bus from Jiegu town to Xinzhai, and then walk about 7 km along national highway 214, half the hillside on your left.
Princess Wencheng Temple
Princess Wencheng temple is located in beinagou, about 16 kilometers away from Jiegu town. It is small in scale, but it is particularly smart. It worships dari Tathagata Buddha.
With a history of more than 1300 years, this Buddhist hall is the most magnificent and precious historical and cultural site left by Princess Wencheng on her way to Tibet. Buddhist scriptures, pagodas and six character mantra are carved on the cliff near the Buddhist hall. LeBaGou is about 8 kilometers away from Princess Wencheng temple. It is a beautiful mountain valley with a depth of about 22 kilometers. It is said that the ancient stone carvings of Buddhist culture in LeBaGou are historical relics left by Princess Wencheng when she came to Tibet.
Of course, there are also modern religious and cultural stone carvings of local Buddhist believers. The epicenter area of Yushu ms7.1 earthquake in Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Qinghai Province.
