history

Yi Zhaoyun (1870-1933) was born in Xiamen, Fujian Province. The Beijing government of the Republic of China once authorized its army Quartermaster. Zhao Wen, the fourth younger brother, is the director of Xiamen police department. Five younger brother Zhao Ting, chief of staff of Fujian military supervision department. The main tower of No. 92, which was originally a zanjianding tower, was changed into a flat top with parapet after the 1976 earthquake. To a certain extent, the integrity of the original architectural style is destroyed. Yi Zhaoyun's former residence is one of the most outstanding buildings in the Italian Concession. The old buildings are Italian style buildings with Renaissance style elements. They were built in the early Republic of China. There are two two two-story Italian style buildings. The main tower of No. 92, which was originally a zanjianding tower, was changed into a flat top with parapet after the 1976 earthquake. One of them is L-shaped with a pavilion on the top. After renovation, the eaves, pillars and carved decoration have restored their original style.

Yi Zhaoyun's former residence is located at No. 90 and 92 Minzu Road, with a construction area of 2300 square meters. In 2004, it was repaired by Italian ancient architecture restoration experts, and became a typical Italian architecture boutique in Haihe Italian style area.
