French parliament building

Built in 1929-1931, this three story building adopts the classical three section style. The external walls are made of granite and decorated with wide and deep grooves. The three semi-circular arch iron gate is the main gate, and the single iron gate is on both sides. Highlight the main style, symmetrical posture, more stable and spectacular. Now it is Tianjin Children's library.

French parliament building

Located at No.12 Chengde Road, Heping District, Tianjin, the French parliament building was built from 1929 to 1931. It is a classical Renaissance building with a three story mixed structure. The former site of the French Council is a national key cultural relics protection unit.

The building covers an area of 8700 square meters, and the facade design adopts the classical three section style, that is, the main body of the building is prominent, and the left and right wings are symmetrical. The outer wall is made of granite and decorated with wide and deep grooves. The main gate is an iron gate with three semicircular arches and a single iron gate on both sides. In the main entrance hall, there are large black and white marble steps, white marble handrails, double bottle railings and colored marble floors. The ceiling is decorated with well shaped beams, with fine octagonal chandeliers and semicircular copper wall lamps, which are luxurious and elegant. In the center of the second floor, there are six ionic column type empty corridors, and the lower part of the column is connected by a bottle type railing. The waist line, window brow and cornice are decorated with flowers. There are triangular broken mountain flowers at the left and right ends of the eaves, and there are flower emblems in the mountain flowers. There are six circular pilasters on the wall of the hall on the second floor, and the floor is paved with herringbone floor. In the middle of the ceiling is a colored embossed glass window, and the upper half of the walls around are decorated with embossed patterns. The whole building is stable and magnificent.

The French parliament building is now Tianjin Children's library.
