China Coin Museum
Founded in 1992, China coin museum is a national Coin Museum directly under the head office of the people's Bank of China. The museum is located in No.17 courtyard, xijiaomin lane, Xicheng District, Beijing. Main collection
The exhibition in the China coin museum includes "the display of Chinese currency of past dynasties", "the exhibition of Chinese ancient coin casting technology" and "the exhibition of the history of the people's Bank of China". The "exhibition of Chinese ancient currency" is located on the second and third floors of the current exhibition hall of China Coin Museum (the former Beiyang Baoshang bank). Academic value

Other cultural relics related to coins are also collected in the China Coin Museum, such as various coin models, including copper shell model, empty head cloth model, five baht coin model, molds, machines and tools of modern machine-made silver coins, banknote version of paper money, as well as coin tree, sword, and Puman related to coin culture.
There are also coins from more than 100 countries in the world in the China Coin Museum, among which gold and silver coins and modern paper money from various countries in the 19th century account for a large proportion.
The numismatic literature is also a collection item of the Chinese Numismatic Museum. The museum has collected more than 13000 books and 5000 periodicals, which provides necessary conditions for the study of numismatics and the history of money.
Academic research is one of the three major tasks of museums. Since its establishment, the museum has been engaged in the following aspects: the theory of numismatics, the origin of Chinese currency, pre Qin currency and currency characters, alloy materials of coins of previous dynasties, the corrosion and anti-corrosion of ancient Chinese banknotes, people's regime currency, gold and silver commemorative coins, the simulation of ancient Chinese model casting process, the research on the casting process of ant nose coin of Chu state, the casting process and origin of sand casting method, the protection of cultural relics exhibited in the museum, and the protection of coins A lot of research work has been done on the scientific identification of currency cultural relics.
