brief introduction
The temple was built in 1576 by Empress Dowager Cisheng, the mother of mingshenzong. Emperor Wanli was only ten years old when he ascended the throne. Both internal and external political affairs were in the charge of Empress Dowager Li. Empress Dowager Li was a good Buddhist in her life. During her reign, she ordered people to build and repair many Buddhist temples inside and outside the capital, including the cishou temple.
The base site was the eunuch Valley cemetery in the Zhengde period of Ming Dynasty (1506-1521). During the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty (1875-1908), the temple was abandoned for more than a hundred years, leaving only the isolated pagoda standing on the site. The original tower was built in the fourth year of the Ming Dynasty (1576), tall and beautiful, brick and stone structure, octagonal plane, 13 stories, more than 50 meters high, solid eaves type. Base brick, xumizuo carved Buddha, Feitian, jinganglishi, Yimen, Babao, Yanglian and other decorations. In particular, the upper part of the sculpture has a full line of musical instruments, extremely rare. The first floor of the tower is tall, with four false doors on the front and four false windows on the other four sides. Buddha statues are carved on both sides of the doors and windows, and the stone inscription banner "Yongan longevity tower" is embedded on the south gate. On the top of the pagoda, there are thirteen stories of dense eaves, and the pagoda brake bears huge jewels with a lotus seat. Those exquisite brick carvings decorated with flower patterns are vivid and delicate. This tower is a representative work of the Ming Dynasty's dense eaves tower, and is now listed as a national key cultural relic protection unit. Next to the pagoda are two carved steles of Guanyin and Guandi in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty (1573-1620).
In 1990, the Haidian District government built Linglong park with Linglong tower as the center, covering an area of about 7 hectares (including 0.3 hectares of water surface). The south part of the park is designed as a regular garden, while the north part is designed as a natural landscape, in which there are pavilions, lakes and pavilions, winding paths and streams, making it a beautiful landscape beside the Jingmi diversion canal.

Cishou Temple Pagoda, formerly known as Yongan Wanshou pagoda, also known as cishou pagoda, commonly known as Linglong pagoda, was built in the fourth year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1576) and completed in the mid autumn of the sixth year of Wanli. It has a history of more than 400 years. It is a cultural relic protection unit in Beijing.
The locomotive square is a Japanese steam locomotive made in 1937, which was reformed in China in 1956. The locomotive has a total length of 22.634m and a design speed of 80km / h. It was retired in 1970s and moved to Beijing in 1991.
The Central Lake area is dotted with stacked stone hills, aquatic flowers, winding water flowing cups and romantic wild flowers. The East and west sides of the pavilion open to each other. On the pillars of the door, there are carved couplets. On the east side, there is an old rhyme left by the abandoned pagoda of the temple, while on the west side, there is a beautiful shadow left by the sunset of the new pavilion, and a poem sent by the morning glow of the ancient pagoda.
The viewing platform is of antiseptic wood structure, extending to the water surface, with a panoramic view of the beautiful lakeshore, and overlooking to the southeast, the CCTV Tower is magnificent. The mirror pool and the reflection of the ancient pagoda are sparkling. It seems that tourists can follow the sculptures on the pagoda and take the clear water as a time tunnel to see the stories of emperors and generals during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty.
In the flower viewing area, Linglong park has planted more than 50 kinds of flowers. There are flowers in three seasons, and a hundred flowers are in full bloom.
