For decades, the National Museum has been adhering to the tenet of serving teaching and scientific research, foreign affairs and society,
We have made active use of the cultural relics in our collection and held dozens of exhibitions of various forms and scales in Beijing, Zhanjiang, Nandaihe, Kunming, Hong Kong, Macao, Japan, South Korea and the United Kingdom, which have achieved good social benefits. For example, in 1981, the exhibition of Chinese minority costume culture toured Tokyo, Japan and other six major cities for three months. During the 11th Asian Games in 1990 and the fourth World Women's Congress in 1995, it was twice exhibited in Beijing at the invitation of the organizing committee. From September to October 2000, China Tibet folk culture exhibition was exhibited in South Korea. The exhibition of visual culture of ethnic minorities in China was held in the UK in 2004 and received wide acclaim. It was included in the series of activities of the year of Chinese and British culture held by the Chinese Embassy in the UK and the series of exhibitions of the 8th Birmingham International Jewelry Festival. In 2005, our Museum held an exhibition of Chinese national costumes to commemorate the 56th anniversary of the founding of the people's Republic of China. In 2006, our museum participated in the exhibition of women's art in China, Japan and South Korea and the first exhibition of intangible cultural protection achievements in China, which won honors for our country and our school.
On September 26, 2004, the National Committee of the Chinese people's Political Consultative Conference on nationalities and religions and our University jointly sponsored the exhibition of "commemorating the 55th anniversary of the founding of the people's Republic of China and the 55th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese people's Political Consultative Conference on costumes and figure paintings of all ethnic groups in China", which was a complete success. Our museum undertakes two tasks: Exhibition and performance of 56 ethnic costumes in China. Fu Tieshan, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, Wang Zhongyu, Bai lichen, Ding Guangxun and other leaders visited and watched the exhibition and performance. Vice President Ding Guangxun said: "it's very exciting to see your exhibition. I hope the excellent culture of the Chinese nation will go to the whole country and the world." Cai Zhonghan, a legislator of Taiwan's Gaoshan ethnic group, said when visiting the exhibition hall of Taiwan's ethnic minority culture in our museum: "my current psychological feelings can only be described as" shock ". The exhibits I saw no longer exist in Taiwan."
Since the opening of the new museum, nearly 50000 people have visited it, which has produced a great influence at home and abroad
