"The most beautiful village in Beijing" in 2010. On July 28, 2019, Beigou village was selected as one of the first batch of key Rural Tourism Villages in China.

On December 31, 2019, it will be included in the second batch of National Forest Village list.

Beigou village is located in the northeast of Bohai Town, Huairou District, Beijing, 7 kilometers away from the town government and 18 kilometers away from Huairou city. The 3 km long Mutianyu ancient Great Wall is located in the village. The total area of the village is about 3.22 square kilometers, with 138 households and 356 people, including 51 people under 18 years old, 269 people between 18 and 60 years old and 54 people over 60 years old. Huaishan soft water breeds the good moral character of Beigou villagers, and the simple folk custom is the key factor to attract Beijing citizens and even international friends. Most villagers' houses do not even have courtyard walls. The spacious courtyard shows the broad mind of Beigou people. The village committee is holding such a banner as "simple, courteous and civilized people", which is a gift from the construction company in the village. During the construction period, the villagers spontaneously take care of the building materials and assist in the construction.
