Keke Salt Lake is located in Keke Town, Wulan County, Haixi Mongolian and Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province. The highway from Xining to Delingha passes through the north side of the salt lake, about 5 km away from Keke railway station, with convenient transportation. The lake basin is a xiligou Intermountain structural fault basin at the southern foot of Qilian Mountain. It was formed in the Cenozoic Paleogene, extending from northwest to Southeast, 80 km long and 20 km wide.

With the advantages of high altitude and pollution-free environment, the industrial salt and edible salt products with the trademarks of "Lujie", "Haishen" and "Keke" are sold well in 12 provinces, cities and autonomous regions of China, and exported to South Korea, Nepal and other countries. Among them, "Lujie" brand smashed washing salt, refined salt and Tibetan salt have been recognized as A-class green food products by China Green Food Development Center.

Among them, the rock salt sedimentary mineral is the most, which is a large-scale rock salt lake deposit. The raw salt, washing industrial salt, regenerated salt, refined salt, powder washing iodized salt, powder washing salt and other industrial salt series products produced by using rock salt resources of Keke salt lake are sold at home and abroad.

Keke Salt Lake has developed into one of the important salt bases in Qinghai Province. The undercurrent of valley and the infiltration of river water are the main recharge form and quantity of groundwater in the basin, and evaporation is the only discharge way of Salt Lake intercrystalline brine. According to the analysis of the existing data, it is considered that the brine extraction amount in the initial stage should not be more than 3.2 million cubic meters / A. The preliminary study on the balance between recharge and exploitation of groundwater and brine has certain reference significance for the sustainable and stable development of salt production in Keke salt lake.
