Kowloon Public Library is a public library located in Ho Man Tin, Kowloon City, Hong Kong. It is located at the junction of Pui Ching road and Waterloo Road (opposite Pui Ching Middle School). The library is equipped with 12 floors to provide all kinds of book borrowing services for the public. It is one of the major public libraries in Hong Kong and is managed by the Hong Kong leisure and Cultural Services Department.

The second phase was opened on September 9, 1985 and was officiated by the then governor of Hong Kong, Mrs. Youde. When it was just completed, it was called the Kowloon Central Library. In order to cooperate with the opening of the Hong Kong Central Library in 2001, it was renamed the Kowloon Public Library in 2000.

Venue facilities

The renovation project of the Kowloon Public Library was launched in May 2005 to enhance the quality of library facilities and services. The project will be carried out in stages for about 18 months and will be completed at the end of 2006.
Some members of the Kowloon City District pointed out that the color of the exterior wall of the Kowloon Public Library is very dark and out of date, and suggested that some bright and uniform colors could be selected as the background color of the exterior wall of the library to add vitality and freshness to the library. In January 2007, the whole dark brown exterior wall of the Kowloon Public Library was painted white and green.
Facilities in the Museum
There are two elevators for readers, but some facilities or floors are inaccessible. The student study room, children's promotion room and the reference library on the 10th floor all need to be accessed by special stairs, while the escalator is set from the ground floor to the 2nd floor to facilitate readers to access the library. In addition, Wi Fi facilities are provided on the 2nd to 10th floors of the library, with a total of 26 hotspots for free connection.
Education Resource Center
It is located in the reference library on the 9th floor, covering an area of about 200 square meters. It was opened on May 4, 2007. Education and language learning for education professionals, researchers, students and self learners, More than 2000 books, journals, electronic resources and online databases, covering different fields of education, including reference materials on Chinese teaching and learning, such as educational theory, psychology, sociology, civic education, school administration, linguistics, phonology, bilingual education, as well as local and overseas examination papers, curriculum outlines and competence assessment materials on education and language learning Material.

It is located on the third floor of the Kowloon Public Library. However, the elevators in the library are not accessible. Users are required to enter and leave by the private staircase of the study room on the second floor platform. Users of this study room study in three nearby secondary schools, namely Peizheng middle school, new law college and Yu Zhenqiang Memorial Middle School. The study room will be open to the public from January to February and from June to December every year, and from March to May is the public examination season in Hong Kong. During this period, the study room will be open in three classes: morning, afternoon and evening. Users are required to show their pre applied admission cards before they can enter the study room. The library staff will give priority to the applications of candidates and college entrance examination students.
Providing services
In addition to the booking, reader consultation and lending services provided by the general library, the Kowloon Public Library also provides the following services: audio-visual services, book return services (during non open hours), computer services for the visually impaired, Internet information services, multimedia information system services, reference and information services, newspaper reading services Self service Photocopying Service (5 cents per A4 size photocopy) and regular promotional activities such as seminars, reading activities and book exhibitions will be organized to increase public interest in reading.
