Badachu Park is located outside the Fifth Ring Road in the western suburb of Beijing, next to the Xishan Forest Park. Badachu refers to the Eight Buddhist temples in the park. Most of the eight temples have a long history and are full of incense. Many of them have been places of worship and blessing in the suburb of Beijing since ancient times. The mountain in Badachu Park is not high, and there are steps. Natural scenery
Badachu Park is located in the west of Taihang, between Cuiwei mountain, pingpo mountain and Lushi mountain (also known as Hutou mountain in the west, Qinglong mountain in the East and Cuiwei mountain in the North). Badachu Park is warm in winter and cool in summer. The soil is fertile and the vegetation is rich. Among them, there are more than 80 kinds of trees, more than 400000 trees, 18 kinds of precious ancient trees, 590 trees, Pinus bungeana in Chang'an temple, Aesculus chinensis in Lingguang temple, Ginkgo biloba in Dabei temple, Pistacia chinensis in Zhengguo temple, and so on. All of them are more than 600 years old, and they are still full and beautiful. A Chang'an Temple
Chang'an temple is located more than one mile south of the gate of the park. Founded in the 17th year of Hongzhi of Ming Dynasty (1504), formerly known as "Shanying Temple". Later, it was rebuilt twice during the reign of emperor Shunzhi (1659) and Emperor Kangxi (1671). Chang'an temple is located on Cuiwei mountain, facing east and West, surrounded by red walls. The entrance is a brick wall with the four characters of "denghuanxidi". Along the west to Yong Road, climbing dozens of steps for the temple gate hall. Hall for Guan Yu statue, also known as "Guan Gong Dian.". The two white bark trees in front of the hall are particularly eye-catching. Although they have experienced hundreds of years of vicissitudes, they are still luxuriant and take a place in the famous ancient trees in the capital. Chang'an temple was once a famous temple in Xishan. The original 500 arhat statues in Chang'an temple have disappeared. According to the historical data of Wanli period in Ming Dynasty, there are still some statues in Chang'an Temple: "four pines in the temple" is the most strange. There are ten Heavenly soldiers in the gate, and the shape is very strange. There are records of "five hundred Arhats" under the veranda, from which we can see the status and style of Chang'an temple at that time. Chang'an temple was destroyed during the "Cultural Revolution", but it has not been restored. Now it is not open to the outside world.
Two Lingguang temples
Lingguang temple is the most important temple in Badachu. Built in the Dali Period of Tang Dynasty (766-779), it was originally called "Longquan Temple". It was renamed "Jueshan Temple" in the Jin Shizong period (1162). The old name of Longquan Temple was restored in the Xuande period of Ming Dynasty (1428). It was expanded and changed into "Lingguang Temple" in the Zhengtong period of Ming Dynasty (1436-1449).
The gate Hall of Lingguang Temple faces southeast. In the gate hall, there is a bronze statue of Sakyamuni Buddha, weighing 3300 kg. A gift for the monk king of Thailand. In Lingguang temple, there were five temples, but now there are only three courtyards: Dabei temple, Yuchi temple and Tayuan. In the Dabei courtyard, there are Guanyin hall in the south, Buddha worship hall in the north, and 14 rooms in the East and West. There is a goldfish pond in the southwest of the temple. It was built during the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty and expanded during the reign of emperor Xianfeng. The tower was destroyed in 1900 by the "Eight Power Allied forces" fire. When the monks in the temple cleaned up the old tower foundation, they found a stone letter for Sakyamuni's relic. Northbound through a cloister for the original woyouxuan, jushiyuan and Abbot's courtyard. Now in the Abbot's courtyard, there is a Buddhist relic tower built from 1958 to 1964, which is 51 meters high and has seven floors. In the relic Pavilion on the second floor of the pagoda, there is a pure gold seven pagoda dedicated to the Buddha Sakyamuni Lingya (according to the records, it is a famous monk in the Southern Dynasty who offered to travel to the west to pray for Dharma, and it was first dedicated to Jiankang, the capital of the Southern Qi Dynasty, in the Sui Dynasty to Daxing, which is today's Xi'an, in the late Tang Dynasty to Nanjing, which is today's Beijing, and in the period of emperor daozong of the Liao Dynasty to the "Zhaoxian pagoda". In 2000, the Chinese Buddhist Association built a new jade Buddha Hall and a screen wall of Prajna paramita Sutra written by Zhao Puchu, the late president of the Buddhist Association. Because there are only two relic teeth in the world, Lingguang temple has become a place where Buddhist monks all over the world worship.
