Architecture Overview
Build a new Center National Stadium - Diamond court, with an openable roof and 13520 fixed seats. It was completed in August 2010.
The existing three main ball courts are all dodecahedral in architectural style. Visually, low-scale buildings are formed in the north area of the Olympic Park. The twelve petals of the central stadium stretch out under the blue sky and white clouds, just like the "Lotus" blooming in the Olympic Park hidden in green. Together with the other two delicate flowers, No. 1 and No. 2, it creates a "natural" landscape with the Olympic Forest Park as the background. The grandstand of the central stadium is divided into twelve parts, which just form the twelve petals of the lotus. With the change of the number of seats in the stands, the height of the stands rises gradually. The white canopy is like twelve pure lotus petals blooming in the green forest.
The national tennis court was funded by Beijing Shiao Forest Park Development and Management Co., Ltd. It was opened at the end of 2009 and completed on August 10, 2011. It was officially named "national tennis court" on September 7, 2011. At the beginning of the design, it was temporarily named "corolla court" and the original "Lotus" central court less than 500 meters away. After a grand name campaign, the new central court of China open was named "national tennis court"
. The new stadium, which stands in the National Tennis Center, has a name matching its shape and scale. It will become the symbol of Chinese tennis, the center of Asian Tennis, the landmark of Beijing's sports and cultural construction, and a new international city card of the capital.
