Ullens Center for Contemporary Art
UCCA Ullens Contemporary Art Center is a well-known contemporary art organization in China. Adhering to the concept of "art can go deep into life and cross the border", UCCA brings art exhibitions, public projects and research plans to more than one million audiences every year.
UCCA Beijing main hall is located in the core area of 798 Art District, covering an area of about 10000 square meters. Its original site is a factory building built in 1957. In 2019, the renovation of the venue designed by the Netherlands metropolitan Architects (OMA) was completed. Designed by open architects, UCCA dune art museum is located in Anaya community on the Bohai Coast of Beidaihe.
UCCA's commercial sector includes retail platform UCCA store, UCCA children's Art Center and UCCA lab's off-site cooperation projects. UCCA opened in 2007 and completed its restructuring and transformation in 2017 with the support of a group of domestic and foreign directors.

Site space

Since its establishment, UCCA has been insisting on academic research and publishing art publications. UCCA publications are born from exhibitions and make important contributions to academic discussions centered on curation and criticism.
In 2018, as one of the development priorities of UCCA foundation, the publishing team will develop into a full-scale research department. The key work of the new team includes a series of academic projects around the UCCA exhibition, as well as the centralized arrangement of the ten-year historical exhibition data files of the institution, so as to make it easy for students and researchers to obtain online information. UCCA plans to set up a library and research space in the library in 2019 to display large-scale paper and electronic materials on UCCA institutional history, Chinese contemporary art and art in broad sense.
Public projects
UCCA organizes a series of public projects and activities, including talks, forums, shows, performances, workshops, art festivals, community initiatives and so on, aiming to turn the institution into an open art classroom and provide opportunities for the public to feel and understand contemporary art in close range.
Cultural Activity
In 2018, UCCA planned and held a series of cross-border cultural festivals, covering a variety of themes in different fields, including contemporary art, performance and screen art, history, literature, popular culture, science and technology, etc. From February 2 to February 4, 2018, "context: UCCA Early Spring Art Week" opened the prelude of the cultural festival series. The UCCA film project in 2018 includes drama screenings produced live by the National Theatre of the UK, as well as CNEX documentary screenings by emerging Asian directors and the European Union Film Festival.

UCCA children
UCCA children (UCCA kids) is an art museum education program for children aged 2-8. The project mainly includes: Art Workshop and art growth class around the exhibition of the art museum, and at least two children's art exhibitions with the theme of "children · great artists" in a year.
UCCA store
Since its establishment in 2007, UCCA store has been adhering to the concept of "art into life". There are bookstores and art spaces in the store, presenting limited edition works of art, original designs, furniture, limited edition books and limited designs around the exhibition for a long time.
UCCA Lab

Philip Tinari, director of UCCA, is a curator, critic and art historian in the field of Chinese contemporary art. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Duke University, a master's degree in East Asian Studies from Harvard University, and a doctorate in art history from Oxford University.
The Ullens Foundation
UCCA foundation is a non-profit entity. Its main business includes UCCA exhibitions, public projects, community services, academic research and development. The foundation adopts the compound financing mode, including exhibition ticket income, member income, enterprise and individual sponsorship, etc;
In 2012, the UCCA Council was formally established, gathering a group of core groups mainly Chinese collectors to continue to provide support for the operation of UCCA. "New trend" series -- Young Artists Series
The "new trend" series was founded in 2015 to provide a platform for potential Chinese artists to hold their first institutional solo exhibition and publish their first monograph. UCCA established
In November 2007, after two years of renovation, UCCA Ullens Contemporary Art Center was completed in 798 Art District.
