Tianjin Food Street was built in 1984. The food street is surrounded by a square by a gray wall about several feet high. The two cross streets in the city divide the food street into four sections. There are three storeys of shops along the street. The second floor is connected by a platform corridor surrounding the whole street. The bottom layer is mainly engaged in various kinds of local snacks.
architectural style
The four gatehouses of the food street are imitated Qing style ancient buildings, 24.5 meters high and 16 meters wide. The roof of the gate building is a double eaves hall type wood structure. The appearance of the eight cornices is the same, and the heads of the cornices are equipped with glazed tile animals, berm animals, dragon, Phoenix, lion and immortal animals. Green glazed tile roof, the two ends of the ridge are installed with two kissing animals. Under the eaves of the forehead imitation, pad, beam Fang, there are Jinbi color paintings.
There is a plaque on each of the four doors in the food street, with Zhenyu in the south, Xingge in the west, Zhongsheng in the north and Huayu in the East. The first word of the four doors is "revitalize China". The inscriptions are selected from calligraphers Yan Zhenqing, Liu Gongquan, ou Yangxun and Zhao Mengfu, and the names of each archway are "Zhenyu Yingbin", "Xingge Qiwu", "Zhongsheng drunk" and "Huayu Yuwei". The eight corners of the pavilion eaves echo the four gatehouses.
The building complex is a three story building with a cross passage in the middle. The top of the passage is an arc-shaped glass top, which closes the Sifang city and forms a shared space. The four passageways are four entrances. Each entrance is equipped with a gatehouse with an arched door opening in the middle. There is a plaque 1.7 meters wide and 6.2 meters long on the door opening, which is engraved with five big characters of "Nanshi Food Street". It is a combination of the handwriting of Wang Xizhi, a great calligrapher of Jin Dynasty.
More than 80 kinds of lamps, 6000 sets and 20000 lamps are installed in the food street. There are ancient bronze six corner chandeliers, six corner wall lamps, six corner courtyard lamps, eight corner column lamps with national colors, modern crystal stick combination ceiling lamps, red cotton chandeliers, chrysanthemum chandeliers, as well as exotic multi focus projection "spotlights" and printed ball wall lamps. Food street lanterns have different shapes.
In addition to the main building, the food street is full of colorful paintings, colorful plaques and calligraphy, fresh garden sketches, all of which give people the enjoyment of beauty.

Tianjin Nanshi food street was built in 1984 and opened in early 1985. Tianjin Food Street is located in the bustling Nansha business district in the center of the city.
