Jimei Bridge

Jimei bridge starts from the intersection of Huandao Road and Wushi road in the south, crosses Xunjiang sea area (sea area between Xiamen Island and Jimei) by way of bridge, lands on Lehai road in Jimei, passes through Jiageng gymnasium and University bay along Lehai Road, connects Jimei Avenue, and goes directly to the proposed Xiamen West railway station, with a total length of 8.43 km, including the sea crossing part of 3.82 km. After the completion of the bridge, it only takes seven or eight minutes to drive across the sea from Jimei bridge.

Jimei Bridge

Jimei bridge is a bridge connecting Xiamen Island and Jimei Peninsula in Xiamen City, Fujian Province, China. It is one of the important parts of the trunk road around the island in Jimei Peninsula and is located in the North Sea area of Xiamen.

The construction of Jimei bridge was started on December 20, 2006, and the closure of the main bridge was completed on May 5, 2008;

It was completed and opened to traffic on July 1, 2008.

Jimei bridge starts from the main road around the island in Xiamen City in the south, passes through the runway of Gaoqi airport, and then crosses the sea to connect Jimei District. The main line of the bridge is 8.438 km long, the cross sea bridge is 3.82 km long, and the total width of the bridge is 36 M. the main road is a two-way six lane road with a design speed of 80 km / h. A BRT special line is set in the middle of the bridge with a two-way two lane road with a design speed of 60 km / h The total investment is 2.95 billion yuan.

Historical evolution

On December 2, 2006, the construction trestle in preparation for the formal construction of Jimei bridge was completed; on December 15, 2006, the construction of Jimei bridge was started;

On December 20 of the same year, CCCC second navigation bureau, the construction unit of Jimei bridge, entered the site.

In January 2007, all 2345 box girders of Jimei bridge were prefabricated; on June 22 of the same year, the first box girder of Jimei bridge was assembled successfully, one week ahead of the construction plan.

On April 2, 2008, the closure project of left box girder of Jimei bridge was completed;

On May 5 of the same year, the 2345th box girder of Jimei bridge was hoisted and the main bridge of Jimei bridge was closed;

In July of the same year, Jimei bridge was completed and opened to traffic, and its name was inscribed by Comrade Jiang Zemin himself.

Bridge location

Jimei bridge is located in the northern sea area of Xiamen Island and the east side of Xiamen bridge, connecting Tongji Road, Binhai West Avenue, Jimei Avenue and Xiamen exit of Expressway in the north, Fangzhong road and Ludao trunk road in the northeast of Xiamen Island in the south. The bridge is 3.1km away from Xiamen bridge and 3.7km away from Xinglin bridge, starting from the intersection of Tongji South Road and Jimei Avenue in the west, connecting Jimei East Road and crossing Xiamen West Sea The main bridge section is arranged from northwest to Southeast.

Main bridge

The main bridge of Haizhong road bridge has a main span of 100 meters and a side span of 55 meters. The box girder is prefabricated and assembled in segments. The width of the top plate of the box girder is 12.75 meters, and the width of the bottom plate of the side span and the middle span is 4.683 meters. After the beam segment becomes higher, the width of the bottom plate is 4.629 meters, the cantilever length of the box girder is 3 meters, and the beam height is 3.6 to 5.8 meters. Among them, the prefabricated beam length of the side span equal height beam segment is 26.63 meters, and the prefabricated beam length of the middle span equal height beam segment is 43.5 meters The length from the middle beam height section of side span and span to No.1 beam section of pier top is within 26.5m, and the beam height changes from 3.6m to 5.8m in a straight line; accordingly, the thickness of web plate from No.6 block to No.1 block changes from 50am to 80am, and the thickness of bottom plate from No.7 block to No.1 block changes from 30am to 80am, and the thickness of top plate is 28am; reinforced concrete steering block is set at the turning point of the external cable in the box; the same beam height of the box girder changes with the thickness of beam At the height of the beam, reinforced concrete stiffeners are set in the box. Xiamen municipal government issued a circular on April 29, 2019, announcing that from 0:00 on May 1, 2019, it will stop collecting vehicle tolls for "four bridges and one tunnel", including Jimei bridge.

 

Traffic matters

Jimei bridge is located in the coastal area. It will be closed temporarily in typhoon weather, and vehicles will not be allowed to pass.

Jimei Bridge Offshore box girder construction in China for the first time adopted the "short line matching segmental precast cantilever assembly" technology, the construction scale of the first in China, is the first large-scale short line matching precast cantilever assembly cross sea bridge in China. This technology realizes the synchronous flow construction of the lower pier in the sea and the upper box girder in the land, and effectively saves the construction period.

 

Scientific research achievements

In February 2008, the technology of "short line matching segmental prefabrication and cantilever assembly" was approved as "national engineering construction method in China".
