Plum blossom mountain is just opposite to the road of Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum. It is close to Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum. Inside and outside the garden, plum blossom is flourishing. It is one of the famous plum blossom resorts in China. During the Three Kingdoms period, Sun Quan and Mrs. Bu of Wu Emperor were buried here, which is the earliest Tomb of Six Dynasties in Nanjing. Plum blossom mountain
Meihua Mountain is located in the Mingxiaoling scenic spot at the south foot of Zijin Mountain in Xuanwu District of Nanjing city. It is an important part of Zhongshan scenic spot. It is also a famous scenic spot in China, the first batch of national scenic spots and the first batch of national 5A scenic spots. Nanjing Meihua Mountain is known as "the No.1 Meishan mountain in the world". Together with Dianshan Lake Meiyuan garden in Shanghai, Wuxi Meiyuan garden and Wuhan Donghu Meiyuan garden, Nanjing Meihua Mountain ranks first among the four major Meiyuan gardens in China.
Nanjing plum planting began in the Six Dynasties, and has a history of more than 1500 years. In 1929, Dr. Sun Yat Sen set up a memorial flower and tree area of Zhongshan Mausoleum in Nanjing, and cultivated a large area of plum trees. Later, the area of plum garden continued to expand, and the varieties increased year by year. Today, the plum planting area of Meihua Mountain is more than 1533 mu, and there are more than 40000 plum trees of nearly 400 varieties.
Meihuashan plum garden is famous for its unique varieties. Many tourists come here to enjoy the plum blossom. During the peak season, it is more than 100000 every day. With its unique natural and cultural advantages, Nanjing Meihuashan attracts more and more tourists at home and abroad, and has gradually become the center of Chinese plum culture. It has been continuously used as the main venue of "Nanjing International Plum Blossom Festival".
Development history
Meihua Mountain used to be the burial ground of Sun Quan, the great emperor of Wu in the Three Kingdoms. After Sun Quan took over the eastern Wu regime at the age of 18, in order to deal with Cao Wei, he listened to Zhang Dan and others' suggestion to build moling as the capital, and changed moling to Jianye. Sun Quan made a great contribution to the development of ancient Nanjing city. He greatly expanded and built Nanjing city. Judging from the scale of the construction industry at that time, "it was close to Zhongshan in the East, Houhu (Xuanwu Lake) in the north, Qinhuai in the South and Shitou in the West." Sun Quan also dredged and widened the Qinhuai River, dug canals such as Qingxi, Yundu and pogangdu, communicated with the Qinhuai River, and solved the problems of drainage and water use in Nanjing. According to documents, Sun Quan was buried in the third hill outside Chaoyang Gate after his death, which is called sun Linggang. Sun Quan, his wife Bu and his wife pan were buried in sun Linggang. Sun Deng, the crown prince, was also buried near Sun Ling.
It is said that when Zhu Yuanzhang built the underground palace, Li Xin, the governor of the Chinese army who was in charge of the mausoleum building project, was ordered to move all the nearby buildings elsewhere, and sun Ling was also in this area. For the sake of prudence, Li Xin specially asked Zhu Yuanzhang, the emperor of Ming Dynasty, to move sun Ling. Zhu Yuanzhang said that Sun Quan is a hero. Leave his tomb and show me the gate. In this way, sun Ling was completely preserved.
Plum blossom mountain is famous for its plum blossoms. Thousands of plum trees are planted on the mountain. In spring, when the plum blossom is in full bloom, the plum blossoms all over the mountain compete with each other for beauty, and the tourists are like weaving. In 1982, a group of fresh and elegant antique buildings, named "dark fragrance Pavilion", was built on the mountain. It was taken from the Song Dynasty poet Lin Bu's poem of "thin shadow, clear water, dark fragrance floating at dusk". This pavilion is beautiful and unique, which makes the plum blossom mountain more colorful.
Mei planting in Nanjing began in the Six Dynasties and has a history of more than 1500 years. On June 1, 1929, after Dr. Sun Yat Sen worshipped the Zhongshan Mausoleum, the Management Committee of the then father of the nation mausoleum decided to build a memorial flower and tree area of the Zhongshan Mausoleum in sunlinggang, and cultivated a large number of plum blossoms. Later, the area of the plum orchard continued to expand, and the varieties increased year by year, becoming a popular place for tourists to enjoy plum blossoms. Sun Linggang gradually disappeared in people's memory, replaced by the name of plum blossom mountain.
Today, the location of guanmeixuan on Meihua Mountain was originally Wang Jingwei's tomb. In January 1946, he Yingqin sent 74 military engineers to blow up the tomb, open the coffin and level it. In the spring of 1947, a pavilion was built in the cemetery. It was named "guanmeixuan", on which there was a couplet: "the crane dances in the distance of tianque, and the Dragon sleeps in Xiaoling.".
After 1958, Zhongshan cemetery management office opened up more than 100 mu barren mountain in Meihua Mountain, and planted a large number of precious varieties, such as orangutan red, gulihong, zhaoshui, Gongfen, Tiaozhi, Chiba red, Changzhi, rouge, Yudi, Songchun and so on. Among them, "biejiaowanshui" is the only one in China, which is particularly precious. In spring, when the plum blossom is in full bloom, the mountains are full of flowers. Tourists come here to enjoy the plum blossom, and the peak season is more than 100000 every day. For the convenience of tourists, in 1982, the cemetery management office built a new tourist restaurant in the north of the east of Meihua. It was named "dark fragrance Pavilion" after the Song Dynasty poet Lin Bu's poem "thin shadow, clear water, dark fragrance floating in the evening" The restaurant is a two-story building. You can enjoy the intoxicating scenery of Meihua Mountain by the window. Downstairs, there are yongmeizhai, shuyingtang and Zhichun Pavilion. The pavilion and pavilion are connected by winding and falling corridors. The whole building area is about 1 540 square meters.
Since 1992, Zhongshan Cemetery Management Office has opened a new plum garden on the east side of plum blossom. New plum garden is not only the continuation of plum mountain, but also a natural landscape plum garden. The whole garden covers an area of 72309 square meters, with more than 2500 newly planted plum trees. Together with the original plum mountain, it forms a thousand mu garden with ten thousand plum trees. At the same time, ornamental plants such as cherry blossom, Albizia julibrissin and Taxodium ascendens are planted in the new plum garden, and lawns are laid to make up for the gap caused by seasonal changes and make the whole garden have scenery in four seasons. The park also opened up an artificial water surface of 6672 square meters, divided into a number of small ponds, forming a unique waterscape. Linchi also has a fragrant endless Pavilion and a cold fragrant Pavilion, both decorated with colored paintings, and the top of the pavilion is covered with yellow glazed tiles.
According to historical records, Meihua Mountain was originally the site of the tomb of Sun Quan in the Three Kingdoms period. In order to commemorate this historic site, a new Sun Quan story garden was built at the eastern foot of Meihua in 1993. At the same time, more than 100 kinds of Japanese plum varieties were introduced to Sun Quan story garden, which provided rich variety resources for plum research. Meihua Mountain covers an area of 420 mu, with more than 200 varieties and 13000 plants. With its unique natural and cultural advantages, Nanjing Meihua Mountain is attracting more and more tourists at home and abroad, and gradually becoming the National Center of Mei culture.

In 1944, Wang Jingwei died in Japan and was buried in Meihua Mountain. In 1946, when the national government was about to move back to Nanjing, he Yingqin ordered that Wang's tomb be destroyed and his remains cremated in Qingliangshan crematorium. A Gallery Pavilion was built on the original site of Wang's tomb. On the northern banner, there was the word "Fanghe" written by Sun Ke, also known as "guanmeixuan".
In 1993, Zhang pingbiog, President of the cross strait business coordination Association, launched a donation to build the Bo'ai Pavilion on the north side of guanmeixuan on the top of the mountain.

Meihua Mountain was buried here by Sun Quan, the great emperor of the eastern Wu Dynasty. It was originally named sun Linggang and Wu Wang tomb. The Sun Quan story garden at the foot of the mountain was built in 1994, with a statue of Sun Quan and a relief stele Gallery of Sun Quan story. In 2006, the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute of Jiangsu Seismological Bureau discovered a large underground building in the south of Boai Pavilion on the top of the mountain by using precision magnetic survey technology, which is very likely to be Sun Quan's tomb.
Xiaoling Mausoleum of Ming Dynasty is located in the north of Meihua Mountain. Shinto turns from south to east at the foot of Meihua Mountain, leading to the stele Pavilion of "Sifang city". It is said that Zhu Yuanzhang said that Sun Quan was a hero and wanted him to guard his tomb, so he didn't move Sun Quan's tomb. On the southern side of the plum blossom mountain, there are 6 pairs of stone animals, 12 pairs, namely: lions, koras, Kirin, horses, camels, elephants, each of two pairs, one * one standing. At the end of Shixiang road stands a pair of tombstones.

Meihua Mountain in Nanjing is one of the four major Mei areas in China. Nanjing Meihua Mountain is the most precious "biejiaowanshui" plum. "Biejiaowanshui" is a fine variety of Prunus mume. Its flowering period is usually from late February to early March. This variety was discovered and named by Mr. Chen Junyu, academician of Meihua Mountain in 1990s.
