Huaxia paper cut Museum

Huaxia paper cutting museum is the only professional paper cutting Museum in China, located at 654 Wangwang East Road, Wangcheng County. It was completed and opened on July 12, 2000, with an exhibition area of 210m2. It was founded by Qin Shijiao's paper-cut family. It aims to collect and sort out the material materials of paper-cut, pass them on from generation to generation, collect them permanently, communicate with domestic and foreign countries through the Internet and exhibitions, promote the theoretical research and artistic creation of paper-cut, and carry forward the national paper-cut culture.

Collection

Qin Shijiao's paper-cut family has gone through five generations. There were more than 20 people who loved paper-cut, and some of them made a living by paper cutting and paper binding. Under the influence of his family, Qin Shijiao has studied, collected, studied and engaged in the creation of paper cutting for more than 50 years. In 1984, he was invited to Japan for a paper cutting performance, which was praised as "the magic of paper cutting" by the news media. He has made paper cutting illustrations for several children's literature, participated in the compilation of "fine arts", "manual labor" and "complete works of Hunan folk art". His published works include "learn from me to cut" "Paper", "selected pictures of a thousand chickens in Qin Shijiao", "double happiness in skillful cutting", "folk paper-cut graphics" and so on.

architectural composition

The museum has a collection room, four exhibition rooms and a studio. There are more than 10000 collections in the collection room, including 360 Monographs on paper cutting published in China over the years, nearly 10000 original works of folk paper cutting and modern paper cutting in more than 20 provinces and cities, as well as a number of extremely precious material materials. The four exhibition rooms respectively display the works of Qin Shijiao's paper-cut family, the original ecological paper-cut works of Wangcheng, the hometown of paper-cut, the representative works of Xiangchu paper-cut and the introduction of paper-cut knowledge. The last exhibition room is the overview of paper-cut, from which we can roughly understand the different styles and characteristics of paper-cut across the country.
