Hengshan temple is located in Beiputuo scenic spot of Hengshan, dashidong, longwangtang, Lvshunkou District, Dalian. It covers an area of 20000 square meters, with a construction area of 12000 square meters. It is the largest Buddhist temple in the north of the Yangtze River in China. The temple is close to the main peak of Hengshan Mountain in the north. The three peaks are connected on the same line. The middle peak is slightly protruding, and the two peaks are even. It is very similar to the shape of ancient Jinyuan treasure, and more like the Buddha statue of Dadu Maitreya. It can be said that the mountain is in the shape of God, and God has given it to Buddha.

Historical development
Hengshan has a long history and profound cultural heritage. It flourished in the Yuan Dynasty and flourished in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The reconstruction began in 2003 and was completed in November 2004. The ceremony was held on November 11. More than ten thousand people from all walks of life and believers gathered in Hengshan temple to witness this historic moment. This ancient temple with a history of 1000 years, with its unprecedented grand momentum, reproduces the majestic style of "the first temple in southern Liaoning". The reconstructed Hengshan temple has a magnificent architectural style, which is a typical structure of Han Buddhism temple. The exterior features of the building inherit the style of the royal temple in Ming and Qing Dynasties. The main buildings of the temple include: Shanmen hall, Tianwang hall, Yuantong hall, sutra library, etc. Hengshan temple is the Taoist temple of Guanyin Bodhisattva. The Yuantong hall is dedicated to Pilu Guanyin. The statue of Guanyin is a nine meter high camphor wood Buddha with gold inlaid body. There are also many Buddha statues in the temple, such as Maitreya Buddha, four heavenly kings, Bodhisattva Weituo, Vajra mitsukari and Bodhisattva dizang. At present, there are more than 60 monks in Hengshan temple. Master Yinjing, the supervisor of Hengshan temple, became a monk at Baima temple in Luoyang at the age of 12. Later, he learned from Mount Putuo and practiced for more than 30 years. He enjoys a high reputation in the Buddhist circle.
