Wushi port
Wushigang, located in the northeast of Toucheng town in Yilan County, is about one kilometer away from Toucheng town. It is an old wushishanggang site. The origin of the name is that the reef in the port area is black, so the residents call this port Wukou port.
brief introduction
Wushigang, about one kilometer north of Toucheng District, is named after the black reefs in the harbor. In the old days, wushigang was the largest city in Lanyang at that time. It was an important gateway to Toucheng. Many merchants came in and out of it. Shigang spring sail is one of the eight sceneries of Lanyang! In the ninth year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu, the waters of Wushi port were gradually reduced due to the sinking of a large U.
Historical evolution
In 1810, a hall was set up in kamalan. In 1826, wushigang officially opened and became an important trading port in Lanyang. Ships and boats gathered together. Spring sail of Shigang is used to describe the prosperity of the port at that time.
In 1878, a mountain torrent broke out, silting up the port road and affecting Wushi port;
In 1883, another American ship hit the rocks and sank outside the port, blocking the port. As a result, Wushi port became silent and abandoned.
It was not until 1991 that the government rebuilt Wushi port as a large-scale ocean fishing port and maritime tourism base that Wushi port came back to life.
In 1991, Wushi port was listed as the second phase of Taiwan's fishing port construction plan and began to build the port, with a total investment of nearly 2.7 billion yuan.
After opening in 2005, it will become the most important sightseeing and leisure fishing port in Toucheng area. In addition to the construction of the port terminal, the old wushigang site has been planned to become a conservation wetland. The adjacent large area of land will also set up Lanyang Museum, wushigang Memorial Park and tourist service center in the future.

Characteristic scenic spots
Wushi port in Toucheng town of Yilan county is the most important tourist port in the north of Yilan. In the early years, dengguishan island mostly came in and out from gengfang fishing port. After the construction of Wushi port, it replaced gengfang fishing port as a port for whale watching and landing. In addition to being an important port for maritime activities, Wushi port also has the function of sightseeing.
At the entrance of the port area, a large-scale "Lanyang Museum" is being built. Within the port area, there is a "Wushi port tourist center", which provides tourists with whale watching, youguishan island and other tourism consulting and ticket purchasing services. The whale watching boat sails every day with intensive frequency.
In addition, the "direct sales center of Wushi fishing port" in the port area provides tourists with direct access to fish products and seafood. Relevant evaluation
Wushi port, located in the head city of Ilan, is one of the many fishing ports in Taiwan. It is not because it is famous for its rich marine resources. The reason is that the proportion of traditional fishery has become smaller, and the county government has actively promoted marine tourism and sightseeing. Instead, Wushi port has become a well-known fishing port for climbing Guishan Island and enjoying whales and dolphins.
Wushi port, named after the huge black reef, is the nearest fishing port to Guishan Island. Therefore, every holiday, you can see many tourists preparing to take a yacht to land on the island or watch whales. The number of fishing boats that actually catch fish is not as much as that of yachts, and they come in and go out so frequently. The times are changing, and the industries are also different. In this process, Wushi port has changed from fishing to sightseeing and found a new position and mission.
Next to the tourist center of wushigang, there is an old site of wushigang. At present, the government of Yilan County has planned it as "Lanyang Museum", but it is still under construction. In the future, it will present a different style of wushigang. There is also a direct selling center for fishing products in the port area, where tourists can buy fresh fishing products. If they are hungry, they can also go to the seafood Street on the second floor to taste all kinds of fresh and delicious dishes.
Wushi port, which has many functions, has become a famous scenic spot for tourists to Toucheng in winter and summer. It also brings considerable business opportunities for local operators and gives Wushi port new vitality.
