Yushan Road
Yushan Road, located in Shinan District, is built on the south foot of XiaoYushan. It starts from university road in the northwest and ends at Wendeng road in the southeast, with a total length of 896 meters. The carriageway is 4-10 meters wide, with an area of 6948 square meters and an area of 1445 square meters.
Yushan road was built in the period of the first occupation of Qingdao by Japan. It is 4-6 meters wide with sand and stone pavement. It is a convenient road leading to Huiquan Bay and Zhongshan Park. Because the road is built along the hillside, the road surface is often damaged by heavy rain. In 1939, the place with larger slope was paved with small square stone pavement. From August to October 1941, the east end of Yushan road and the west end of Wendeng road were extended by 300 meters, and the original road was widened from 6 meters to 10 meters. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, the sand pavement was replaced by asphalt pavement.
