History: Wang Shiqin, the daughter of Wang Xun, a legalist and calligrapher in the late Qing Dynasty, once said that there were some hotels near the railway station. When the less honest officials came to Qingdao, many of them stayed in the hotel temporarily. Because they were officials of the Qing Dynasty, they were called "honest officials lane". But the "Qing" of the Qing Dynasty is the same as the "Qing" of the honest officials in the past dynasties. Some people said: "what clean official lane, is the stolen official lane.".

The so-called corrupt officials mainly refer to two people, one is Yang Shixiang, the other is Xu Shiguang.
