Najiaying Mosque

Located in Nagu Hui Autonomous Township, Tonghai County, Yunnan Province, najiaying mosque is an ancient Islamic mosque in China. It is said that the temple was built by nasulin, who was the governor of Yunnan Province at the end of the 13th century. Because it is built according to the mountain, it is divided into five levels. The building area of the temple is about 10000 square meters. It is the religious activity and education center of Nagu Muslims.

Construction scale

Temple size

The building area of the temple is about 10000 square meters. The internal area of the worship hall is about 1200 square meters, which was built in three stages. The front hall is small, about 210 square meters. The front door has five pillars and 24 doors. Both the middle hall and the back hall are made of reinforced concrete. The central hall was expanded in 1975, with an area of only 200 square meters added. The back hall was built by local Muslims in 1984. It is a flat top hall with two floors and one bottom, about 808 square meters. At the top of the building, a large dome moon tower is built, which is of Arabic architectural style. The three halls run through each other, and can accommodate more than 1700 people. All the rooms in the temple are classrooms and dormitories.

The first floor is the Shifang Mountain Gate. There is a marble plaque in the center with the word "mosque" engraved on it.

On the second floor, there are three two-story buildings, which are called "Er Tian Lou". There is a wooden plaque in the center, engraved with the word "Wei Tian Zhi Ming". There is a courtyard at the back of the building with seven wing rooms on each side. In the courtyard, bunk house and "Er Tian Lou" stand against each other, with the cross resting on the top of the mountain and the six corners flying up.

The third floor is the small moon platform, with one Arabian date palm tree on each side, a fish pond and five wing rooms on each side.

The fourth floor is the main hall of worship, in front of which there are many ancient cypresses and flowers.

The fifth floor is the front platform.
