Songgang blockhouse group was built in the middle of Qing Dynasty. There are four blockhouses, two in Zhibo village and the other two on the ridge opposite the river. Zhibo village's two octagonal blockhouses, 50 meters apart, blockhouse is built with stone and mud, the inside is round, the outside is octagonal. The highest one is 8 stories, about 30 meters high. Looking up, it rises into the sky and feels dizzy. The internal structure of the octagonal watchtower is very wonderful. Each floor has boards, which can only be climbed with the help of movable wooden ladders. It has a very good defensive function.

Su Xisheng, the last chieftain in Shangguan village on the opposite mountain, was originally the son of Heishui chieftain. Because Songgang chieftain had no descendants to take over the seal, he took the son of Heishui chieftain as his son. But after seven years, malkang was liberated. The octagonal Diaolou belongs to Su Yonghe, the chieftain of Songgang, but it should have been built in the Qianlong period. Songgang Tusi fled to India from Tibet in the late 1950s because of anti communism, later immigrated to Canada, and returned to Songgang after reform and opening up.

There is also a secret passage beside the main passage of the watchtower. There is a hole connecting with the main floor, which is used to transport guns, ammunition, food and drinking water. The most wonderful thing is that the two watchtowers in the village are connected with the river through tunnels, which can support and retreat when the enemy attacks. Such a magical ancient building not only saw the rise and fall of the family and the dynasty, but also showed great use in the era of war and chaos. During the cultural revolution, it was used for fighting by the rebels. The two factions guarded the two watchtowers on the other side of the river and shot each other. It was really sad for the watchtowers.

Under the watchtower, the river is flowing endlessly, the sun is shining on the wooden windows of the house, the flowers on the terrace are planted in the washbasins and small iron barrels, the wind is shaking, the prayer flags are flying in the smoke, and strings of red peppers are hanging under the eaves and on the pillars. Beidiao has an inner diameter of 8.5 meters, two sides at each corner, a length of 2.15 meters, and a height of 24.7 meters. It has six floors. All of them are good subjects for shooting.
