30 kilometers away from Guiyang, it is located at the foot of huangjiapo, South Street of Qingyan ancient town. It was first built in Tianqi year of Ming Dynasty (1621) and has been more than 390 years. It was founded by master Zhi'an, an eminent monk. It is the only temple in Guizhou that has never broken incense and left monks. Yingxiang temple is located in the west facing east, with majestic architecture and towering temples. The total area is 8 mu, with a construction area of 3500 square meters. The main body construction has distinct levels. From Yingxiang Lane in the South Street of the ancient town, you can enter the temple gate and pass through the patio. There are three levels of halls in turn, namely, Tianwang hall, Daxiong hall and Guanyin hall. On both sides of the heavenly king hall are Zhaitang. Between the main hall and Guanyin hall is a courtyard. The hospital has a release pool and stone railings. On the north side of the courtyard is the Jade Buddha Hall, on the south side is the connection between the ancestral master hall and faliu temple, on the north side of Guanyin hall is the pharmacist hall, and on the south side is the dizang king hall. The main building of Yingxiang temple is surrounded by bell tower, Drum Tower, nine dragon wall, sutra hall, cooling platform, almsgow tower, Zen house, green belt, etc.
Yingxiang Temple
Yingxiang temple is located in the South Street of Qingyan Town, Huaxi District, Guiyang City, Guizhou Province. It was first built in 1621 by master Zhi'an. It was rebuilt in 1825. The two chambers, Weituo hall, memorial archways and walls were rebuilt. It was completed in the 30th year of Daoguang. Later, some local gentry raised money to build a small pavilion in front of Yingxiang temple to worship the Taoist God Doumu. After a long time, the villagers did not observe it, so Yingxiang temple was commonly known as "Doumu Temple".
Yingxiang temple was rebuilt in 1990. The existing temple is triple, with exquisite architecture and simple style. In front of it is a two-story building, with Maitreya hall at the bottom and Lingguan hall at the top. The second floor is the main hall, the two sides are Guanyin hall, the left side is pharmacist hall, and the right side is dizang hall.
In the middle of the main hall, Sakyamuni, the Buddha, is offered as a salary. On both sides, Manjusri and Puxian are offered as Bodhisattvas. The second floor is for Guanyin Bodhisattva. On both sides of Guanyin, there are shancai boy and dragon girl. It's amazing that the Taoist deity "Doumu" is worshipped upstairs. It was called "Doumu Pavilion" by local people. It was originally a Taoist temple dedicated to Doumu, but later it was robbed by Buddhists and turned into a Buddhist temple. People moved the statue of Doumu here and worshipped it together.
There are more than 20 tombs in Yingxiang temple. Among them, the tomb tower of Kaishan monk Zhi'an is at the foot of Lixu mountain outside Qingyan Town. The damaged steles still exist. It's a pity that the stone is weathered for a long time, but the words "Kaishan monk Zhi'an" are still vaguely recognizable.
The current abbot is master Tongxiu, 70 years old, from Guizhou. At present, master Zude is in his forties, a native of Guizhou.
