Longtou Temple

Mianshan landscape is mainly distributed in the eastern half of Yangou. From Jiexiu City, drive on the Dongxia line of national highway 108, turn left not far from Xihuan village, where Qinbai is located, and there is a slowly rising 12 km special highway. After passing through the gate archway with Bo Yibo's inscription of "Mianshan", you can reach Longtou Temple by crossing Guangyan temple, Zhusha cave, Feihu cave and the former site of Lengyan society. Longtou temple, also known as tayantou, is named after the original empty King pagoda courtyard on the Loess Slope under the rock. Later, because Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty came to Mianshan to thank the rain, and saw the double dragons appear, he changed his name to the present one.

Longtou temple has more than 20 scenic spots. Such as Marshal Ye Jianying on Mianshan, jiezitui buyanlu, Qu Yuan's Ode to Jiezi and other large-scale inscriptions, as well as bailongbi, poetry Pavilion, Pujiu hall, Nantianmen, Guandi temple, Longmen Shipai building, etc.

From the entrance of the scenic spot, you can walk up the stairs, past the plaque of Longtou temple, and turn back to the left side of the mountain wall. You can see that there is a large mountain with many dragon shapes in front of it. This is the hundred dragon wall. Opposite to bailongbi, there is a famous poem Pavilion. Nantianmen is a pavilion style building with a veranda and a top floor. It has different views on the three floors. It is a wonderful place to watch sunset, sunset and sea of clouds. At the exit of Longtou temple is a Longmen stone archway with exquisite craftsmanship and exquisite shape. The archway is one of the landmark buildings in Mianshan mountain. Turning back from the stone archway to the poetry Pavilion, there is the salvation pavilion not far down, which is the entrance to the underground palace below. The temples and statues in the underground palace were designed according to Jie Zitui's wish to persuade people to do good. Intrauterine painted sculptures are elaborately and creatively made by experts in the province, integrating the essence of human studies and aesthetics. Longtou Temple

Longtousi temple is located in longtousi village, Tianshui Town, Qinzhou District, Tianshui City, Gansu Province. It is at the junction of Tianshui and Lixian County. It is named because of its topography like Longtou. It is said that in the 1960s and 1970s, villagers once dug out a tablet of Longtou temple, which was first built and then buried. Now there is no way to find it. The existing ancient buildings are well preserved and built in the Qing Dynasty. They are county-level cultural relics protection units.

The date of temple fair is the eighth and the thirteenth of the fourth month of the lunar calendar

General situation

Longtousi temple is located in longtousi village, Tianshui Town, Qinzhou District, Tianshui City, Gansu Province. It goes down the Xuli highway and is located at the junction of Li county and Tianshui county. Because the terrain is like longtousi, it is named. It is said that in the Northern Wei Dynasty, there were six Buddha statues and three human ancestor statues, which were worshipped in the cave of Longtou temple, so it was called "Jiudong mountain". Zhang and Jin, who fled from Henan in the middle of Tang Dynasty, settled here and developed into big families. After the five sons of Zhang Jia were admitted as Jinshi, they moved their family away. Because the Jin family had no successor, they invited nine statues into two courtyards and gradually developed into Buddhist and Taoist temples. Every year, a grand temple fair is held on the eighth day of the fourth lunar month and the thirteenth day of the ninth lunar month.

In front of Longtou temple, there are two tall ancient locust trees, which are intertwined and luxuriant. They are about 1000 years old. They are the two oldest ancient locust trees in Tianshui pass. In 1982, they were declared as cultural relic trees by the people's Government of Tianshui county. There are four existing ancient steles in Longtou temple, which were erected during the reign of Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty and the period of the Republic of China. Now they are all well preserved with clear handwriting.

Related history

The topography of Longtou temple is peculiar. It is like a giant dragon lying on the water bank of the Western Han Dynasty. On rainy days, the fog locks the dragon's head, which is very vivid. Longtou mountain faces Fenghuang mountain, and water flows through it in the Western Han Dynasty. There are local sayings of "dragon and Phoenix have sex" and "dragon and phoenix play in water". Historically, this is a place where military strategists must fight. It is said that Liu Xiu, Emperor Guangwu of the Han Dynasty, and the army of kaixiao fought here.

Emperor Guangwu of the Eastern Han Dynasty, in order to break the long-standing rule of kaixiao in Longyou, in the eighth year of Jianwu (A.D. 33), led the big Sima Wujiang, general Cen Peng, general Gaiyan, and general Geng Yan. The Han army set up its "command post" on Longtou mountain and fought against Xiaoxiao army. After several battles, it finally defeated Xiaoxiao army. When Liu Xiudong returned, he ordered the western expedition general Cen Peng to take advantage of the victory and attack the south. He said that the people's heart was bitter and insufficient. He got both Longyan and Shuyan. The allusion that Longyan and Shuyan came from this.

In 226 ad, Zhuge Liang led his troops from Qishan mountain to capture Tianshui pass. After inspecting the topography of Longtou mountain, he thought that Qishan mountain was the base camp in the southwest, the front line of northwest gate was the place to hold fast, and Wufeng mountain in the southeast was the main defense line. He could conquer the pass from tietang gorge, so he set up a battlefield beside the West Han River.
