Yaoxi scenic spot is located in Longwan District in the eastern suburb of Wenzhou City, only 16 kilometers away from the center of the city. It is famous for its "jade color of all streams and stones". The area of the scenic spot is 11.04 square kilometers. The main feature of the scenic spot is the rich and colorful water landscape. Yaoxi water originates from the East Valley of Daluo mountain. It drips out from the stone ridges of high mountains and converges into a stream. There are more than 100 scenic spots in yaoxilong, zhongxiuyuan, Longgang mountain, thousand Buddha pagoda and Qingshan Lake. Yaoxilong

Yao River is long, and Yao River is famous for Zhang Cong's praise of its jade color. Along the stream into the mountain, you can see the steep Yaoxi long gorge. On both sides of the river, the green mountains stand against each other, and there are thousands of cliffs. When the spring rain is falling, the mountain is misty and seems to be in a dreamland. After the heavy rain, the stream was surging, but it was a scene again.

Zhenyi Academy

It was originally named Luofeng Academy. It was built by Zhang Cong in 1518 in the 13th year of Zhengde reign of emperor Wuzong of Ming Dynasty. It was used to teach students. In 1528, Emperor Shizong built "jingyitang" and "baozhongtang" and renewed them. He named them "Zhenyi academy" and ordered that "it must be magnificent and firm, and be used forever". Zhenyi academy is located at the foot of wolongtan, beside the Triassic rock, with lotus pond in front and bamboo clumps behind. It is the only academy built by imperial edict in ancient Wenzhou.

Zhong Xiuyuan

Zhongxiuyuan, the orchard of song Yaoxi, is the entrance of Yaoxi scenic spot. Yaoxi River and its tributaries pass through it, which is rich in Sydney, peach, orange and sweet orange. When the flowers bloom in the warm spring, the garden is full of fruit flowers and fragrant.

Foot washing pool

Foot washing pool is under the canyon wall. The water color is blue, and there is a flat stone platform beside it. It is said that it is the place where immortals wash their feet. There are cliffs on three sides of the egret pool, and reeds grow at the exit of the pool, just like a egret.

Bayberry Valley

Yangmei Valley (also known as longchuantou gorge) is surrounded by green hills, green streams and forests of Yangmei on both sides. In summer, the red bayberry is mature, with red fruits and green leaves.

Jinzhong waterfall

Jinzhong waterfall is located in the gorge of longchuantou. The waterfall is folded three times and falls into the deep pool of Bibo. The sound is as loud as a bell. There are more than 10 archways in the scenic spot, including zhangcong villa, Zhenyi academy, yipinjia temple and Qinggong Taishi.

Starting from April 1, 2012, Yaoxi scenic area will be free of charge and open to the public.

Yaoxi scenic area covers an area of 13.5 square kilometers. It is estimated that the tourist flow of the scenic area reached 600000 person times in 2011, and the maximum capacity of tourists in one day was 25000 person times. After the cancellation of ticket charges, the increase of the flow of people in the scenic area is accompanied. Longwan District Tourism Administration officials said that the scenic spot currently has a total of 10 managers, including cleaning, safety, inspection, fees and so on. After the cancellation of fees, in view of the increase of management difficulty and management cost, they will send more staff to manage and extend working hours, and increase government funding to manage and protect scenic resources.

Route:

Starting from Shanghai: take a train or car from Shanghai to Wenzhou (the fastest train is 9 hours and 5 minutes, the slowest train is 12 hours and 22 minutes, and the car is about 6 hours), and then take a bus or taxi to the scenic spot.

Starting from Hangzhou: from Hangzhou east railway station to Wenzhou Railway Station, or from Hangzhou east bus station to Wenzhou bus station, then take bus or taxi to the scenic spot.

3. Taxis in Wenzhou are quite cheap. The starting price is 10 yuan, 4 km, 1.40 yuan per km. The starting price at night is 12 yuan, 1.68 yuan per km. Wenzhou City is not big, even from the east to the west of the city, the general taxi cost will not exceed 50 yuan.

Human history

Yaoxi is famous for zhangcong culture, has a long cultural history and many cultural relics. It is a gathering place of historical and cultural attractions in Wenzhou.

During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, celebrities gathered, such as Zhang Cong, the first minister of the Ming cabinet, Li Jie, the head of the Li Department, Wang Zan, the Minister of rites of the Hongzhi reign of the Ming Dynasty, Wang Shuguo, the Deputy envoy of Guangdong Province, and Wang Shugao, his younger brother. They either studied or gave lectures or retired here, especially Zhang Cong, a Bachelor of the Ming Dynasty, who lived here for 36 years, leaving many cultural relics and moving legends. The Neolithic cultural site of Longgang mountain discovered here is 45000 years ago. Provincial and municipal key cultural relics protection units include Guoan Temple (Thousand Buddha pagoda) in the Northern Song Dynasty, Huayang cave poem stele in the Ming Dynasty and cliff inscriptions on the mid mountain.
