Pingdu revolutionary martyrs cemetery
Pingdu revolutionary martyrs cemetery, located on a Qiufu in the northwest of Pingdu County, covers an area of 37330 square meters. It was built in 1958. In the center of Fuding stands a 20 meter high martyr memorial tower, which is made of white marble. The martyrs memorial hall, with a building area of 658 square meters, is slightly in the shape of "Gong", with 15 rooms. The front porch is out of the building, simple and elegant. The hall displays the portraits and relics of 11 famous martyrs, including Liu Qian, Secretary of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee. The remains of 2909 martyrs are buried in the cemetery area. There are also flower walls, gates, screen walls and stone tablets.
