Guanzhong folk art museum is located in the center of Qinling Zhongnanshan World Geopark and at the foot of South Wutai Mountain, a Buddhist holy land of Sui and Tang Dynasties. It is adjacent to Cuihua Mountain in the East, Wutai Mountain in the south, Caotang temple in the West and Chang'an City in the north. It covers an area of 493.88 Mu and has a planned construction area of 108000 square meters.

The total planned investment is 570 million yuan. Founded by Mr. Wang Yongchao, a deputy to the National People's Congress and an expert enjoying special allowance from the State Council, the Institute is a strategic driving project integrating cultural undertakings and cultural industries with folk cultural heritage rescue, protection, collection, research and exhibition as the main body. It is a major construction project of Shaanxi Province and Xi'an City during the "11th Five Year Plan" and "12th Five Year Plan". It is a patriotic education base in Shaanxi Province and a National Center for education Home AAAA tourist attractions, national cultural industry demonstration base. Since the middle and late 1980s, Guanzhong Folk Art Museum has collected, rescued and protected more than 33600 pieces (sets) of stone carvings, wood carvings, brick carvings, Guanzhong ancient dwellings, mass production, life, customs, customs and other relics, celebrity calligraphy and paintings from the Zhou, Qin, Han and Tang Dynasties, It has collected and protected nearly 1000 Ming and Qing ancient dwellings in 40 academies, collected and sorted out a large number of intangible cultural heritages such as local operas, craft workshops, etiquette and customs, and formed a collection scale of nine categories in four major series: folk art, Guanzhong dwellings, folk customs, celebrity calligraphy and painting.
