Hengshan Peasant Movement Memorial Hall
Hengshan Peasant Movement Memorial Hall is located at No.9 Xiangjiang street, Kaiyun Town, Hengshan County. It was the seat of Hengshan local working committee of CPC at that time. The memorial hall was founded in 1976. It was originally called Hengshan Memorial Hall for Comrade Mao Zedong's inspection of Hunan peasant movement. In 1983, it was changed to its current name.

Jurisdictional subordination
The memorial hall was founded in 1976. It was originally called Hengshan Memorial Hall for Comrade Mao Zedong's inspection of Hunan peasant movement. In 1983, it changed its name to its present name and was subordinate to Hengshan County Cultural Bureau.
Site size
Kangwang temple was built in Jiangnan in Qing Dynasty. In August 1926, the Hengshan local working committee of the Communist Party of China was established in Kangwang temple. From January 15 to 24, 1927, Mao Zedong lived and worked in Kangwang temple during his investigation of the peasant movement in Hengshan. Since then, the Kangwang temple has gone through many vicissitudes. In 1969, Kangwang temple was rebuilt on the original site. And restored and displayed Comrade Mao Zedong's office house and conference room. In 1976, a new auxiliary exhibition room of 400 square meters was built on the left side of Kangwang, which was officially opened on March 5 of the next year. The memorial covers an area of 1604.5 square meters and a building area of 1488 square meters.
Introduction to the library
In January 1927, when Mao Zedong inspected the farmers' movement in Hengshan, he stayed here for five days and four nights, held an investigation meeting for the cadres of the agricultural movement, and drafted the famous investigation report on the Hunan farmers' movement, which greatly promoted the rapid development of the National Farmers' movement. In 1969, the memorial hall was restored and rebuilt according to its original appearance. The exhibition hall covers an area of 425 square meters. It is divided into two exhibition halls, showing "the history of Hengshan farmers' movement" and "Mao ZeJian's life exhibition". In the museum, there are beds, tables, chairs, benches, oil lamps and office supplies used by Mao Zedong when inspecting Hengshan farmers' movement.
The main display of Hengshan Peasant Movement Memorial Hall is to introduce the historical facts of the struggle of Shuikoushan worker Party members Liu Dongxuan and Xie Huaide in 1923 when they returned to their hometown to organize the establishment of Hunan's first peasant revolutionary organization - Hengshan Yuebei trade union. In January 1927, Comrade Mao Zedong inspected the peasant movement in Hengshan and learned about the party building, peasant movement and peasant armed forces in Hengshan. From 1925 to 1928, Luo Ronghuan, Chen Fen, Mao ZeJian and other proletarian revolutionaries of the older generation led the peasant movement and carried out the revolutionary activities of armed struggle in Hengshan. There are 86 exhibits on display, including 61 original and 25 copies.
