Song'an Temple
Songan Temple: located in Guangdu village, Bawang Township, Danba County, Sichuan Province, 11 meters away from the county seat, it is the religious center of Bawang and Nie GA townships. Song'an temple, also known as song'an Lang, is one of the 108 temples built by Tibetan monk awanzaba in Jiarong area. It is now a key protected temple in the prefecture. In 1410, it was built in Zake (today's Gandhi bridgehead). In 1416, it was destroyed by floods and rebuilt in genba (today's genba in Mori Village). Later, it was moved to bawangguangdu village in 1640. In 1943, Liu Wenhui, chairman of Xikang Province, wrote a gold plaque of "song'an Temple" in the name of "song'an" of Tuqian song'an Lang.
The temple is a quadrangle layout, facing south from north, covering an area of 2700 square meters. It is a combination of Tibetan and Han architecture, and is composed of main hall, sutra house and monk's house. The main hall is a Tibetan style stone wood structure, with 24 carved dragon wooden pillars. The hall is divided into two floors. There are statues of Sakyamuni, zongkaba, future Buddha, thousand handed Guanyin, Nanhai Guanyin, etc. on the side of the hall, there are thousands of scriptures in the Sutra collection building. The hall is magnificent with colorful murals, the attic is simple and beautiful, the carved beams and painted buildings are extremely exquisite; the ancient cypresses are towering around the temple to block out the sun, the grass is green, and the scenery is particularly charming.
