The origin of Xinfeng Pavilion
At the beginning of Jiatai (1201-1204) in Southern Song Dynasty, he Guan, the magistrate of Changshu, built a pavilion on the top of yushangdong mountain, named Wanghu Pavilion. Because you can see Shanghu Lake in front of the west mountain and Kuncheng Lake in the southeast. In the third year of Jiading (1210) of the Southern Song Dynasty, Xu Ziduo, the county magistrate, changed the name of the pavilion to "Jimu Pavilion" because he had a broad view of the pavilion and could see it from afar. Xu ciduo also wrote a poem entitled "the extreme eye Pavilion": "when do you go back to the boat to break the dusk, and how many lines of wild geese are beside the sunset. In order to write that Qinchuan is Wangchuan. " Lu Zhen, the governor of Changshu Prefecture in the Yuan Dynasty, wrote in the book "rebuilding Qinchuan annals" that "the extreme view Pavilion, with a view of dozens of miles in pingye, and a row of mountains and lakes, is the best place for a city to win." I admire the extreme eye Pavilion, which stands on the top of the east ridge of Yushan Mountain. Xie Su, a poet of the yuan and Ming Dynasties, wrote a poem called "the extreme eye Pavilion:" Yushan Mountain is green across the East China Sea, on which there is the extreme eye Pavilion... " Later, the pavilion collapsed. During the reign of Jiajing in the Ming Dynasty, Feng Rubi, magistrate of the county, rebuilt a pavilion at the original site and named it "Daguan Pavilion". Yao Xu, a poet, wrote the poem "daguanting", which reads: "the beginning of the cumulus rain, the virtual Pavilion can reach the view..." Xu DaiPin also wrote the poem "daguanting". Later, the pavilion collapsed. In the Wanli period, a two-story pavilion was built in the original site by Xiaoying palace. It was located in the west of Yucheng City. According to the location of tiangan dizhi, the West corresponds to "Xin", so it was named "Xinfeng Pavilion".
