Suzhou Revolutionary Museum
Suzhou revolutionary museum is located in Jinchang District of Suzhou city. It was founded in 1993, rebuilt in 2014 and reopened to the outside world on the occasion of the 65th birthday of the motherland. The newly opened museum is divided into three exhibition halls, which respectively display three parts: "the period of new democratic revolution", "the period of socialist revolution and construction", "the period of reform and opening up and socialist modernization". More than 700 pieces of materials, pictures and cultural relics about the history of the revolutionary struggle in Suzhou are exhibited, with the focus on the historical facts of the activities of the New Fourth Army in Suzhou. Now it is the patriotic education base of Jiangsu Province.
Development history
The history of modern Suzhou is a history of pioneers exploring the truth of saving the country and the people. As early as the great revolution in modern times, our party's early revolutionary activists Xiao Chunu, Yun Daiying and Deng Zhongxia left revolutionary footprints in Suzhou. During the Anti Japanese War, the New Fourth Army, the "Jiang Anti Japanese" troops and the guerrillas in Yangcheng Lake and Taihu Lake launched an arduous struggle against the enemy and puppets. Many outstanding sons and daughters of the party shed their blood on this land, and many legendary stories are still circulating among the masses.
Collection
There are 318 historical photos, 208 historical documents, 204 objects and 60 works of art on display in the museum, recording the revolutionary process of "suffering awakening victory" of Suzhou people under the leadership of the party. Suzhou people regard the revolutionary museum as a new achievement in the construction of spiritual civilization and a good base and classroom for the traditional education of patriotism.
The exhibition line of the museum is 467 long, with an exhibition hall of 841 square meters. It is divided into six parts: "preface hall", "modern Suzhou society", "great revolution period", "Agrarian Revolutionary War period", "Anti Japanese War period" and "liberation war period". It not only reflects the sense of historical integrity and depth, but also highlights the theme and focus, and enhances the sense of fullness.
Venue features
In order to enhance the appeal of the exhibition contents, the museum also invited artists from Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Suzhou and other places to use sculpture, oil painting, traditional Chinese painting, print, watercolor, sketch, scenery box, chart, model and other means of expression to reproduce the history, set off the atmosphere and enhance the effect around the theme. The museum also invited Xia Shushen, the chief designer of the Chinese Military Museum, and other experts to design and create the "Yangcheng beacon fire" half view painting hall, which is known as "the first museum in the south of the Yangtze River". By means of sound, light, electricity, computer and other high-tech means, the unfolded oil painting with a height of 16.5 meters and a width of 60 meters and the ground sculpture with a floor area of 400 square meters are integrated with the sound effect to reproduce the Suzhou army The scene of the people fighting against the Japanese aggressors makes people feel personally on the scene. The scale of this half view hall is the largest in China.
