The former site of the court of justice on Gulangyu Island is one of the important architectural remains of the judiciary on Gulangyu Island. The two buildings are now No. 1 and No. 3 of Bishan Road, which are still in good condition. The land was rented by the Presbyterian Church of England in 1915, and then the villa land was transferred twice. The two existing buildings were once owned by Huang Zhonghan, an Indonesian overseas Chinese from Xiamen. At the end of 1920s, Gulangyu auditorium used to use these two villas which were close to the office building of the Ministry of industry at that time. This courtyard covers an area of more than 5600 square meters. There are two two two-story western style buildings in the courtyard. The two buildings are basically symmetrical and the form is relatively simple. They have the early modern architectural style and the building area is more than 500 square meters.
