China Stone Museum
Located in Qingliang mountain, Gulou District, Nanjing, the Chinese stone museum was established in 1991.
In 2002, a new boutique Museum was built, covering an area of about 650 square meters. It collects hundreds of rare stones, mainly including Lingbi stone, Taihu stone, Kunshi stone, Yingde stone, picture stone, stalactite, pictograph stone and paleontological fossils. It is adjacent to Guiyuan ancient temple, guqintai in the north and ink Lake in the West. It has beautiful scenery and elegant environment. It is a foreign tourist attraction and a provincial civilized unit. It is a popular science education base for young people The patriotism education base has received millions of Chinese and foreign tourists.
The building in the museum has a typical Ming and Qing style. It is an urban garden style art exhibition hall with the main content of collecting and displaying all kinds of strange stones and the main function of enriching the popular science knowledge and cultural life of the masses. There are tens of thousands of rare stones in the collection, and more than 3000 pieces are on display throughout the year.
Introduction to the exhibition
There are eight exhibition halls in the museum, which collect and display more than ten kinds of exotic stones at home and abroad: pictograph stone, abstract stone, texture stone, picture stone, character stone, tianwai stone, garden stone, paleontological fossil, mineral crystal and so on. Among them, the crystal stone weighing 11 tons is the largest in Asia; dozens of varieties such as Shenlong green stone, Sanxia stone, Caitao stone, big fossil, grape agate and so on have excellent collections; the fossils such as Confucius bird, large ichthyosaur, magic dragon, shovel tooth elephant, parrot beak dragon and so on are rare collections in the domestic stone collection circle. The quantity, variety and quality of the collection are in the leading position in China.
