Xiushui Donghu village scenic spot is located in Tankeng village, Zhengcun Township, Xiushui County, Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, about 20 kilometers away from Xiushui county,

The total area is about 14400 mu, including 5775 mu of core tourism plate.

Donghu village gets its name because there are two mountains nearby, which are similar to the local dialect Donghu. So the local people say that "Zhonggu village" has become "Donghu village".

The main scenic spots of Xiushui Donghu village include cave waterfall, jiangjunyan, hero slope, Tianwang bridge, feilada, yixiantian, baizhangti, Baili Gallery, glass magpie bridge, Xiangbi mountain, Hongyan temple, fangzhulin, Donghu ancient village, Qingxin bridge, fanyin Valley, Diaolan Valley, Jiujing lake, etc.

Donghu village was also the base of the uprising army in the period of Taiping Heavenly Kingdom. The cave, the field, the stone table, the spring well, the stone horse and the tie horse stake were well preserved.

In January 2018, Xiushui donghuzhai scenic spot was rated as 4A scenic spot by Jiangxi Provincial Tourism Development Commission.

Development history

According to the records of Yining Prefecture, bandits were rampant all over the country at the end of the Yuan Dynasty. Zhou Tianxing, Wang Shijun, Fang min, Mao Renke and other heroes gathered local soldiers to build a stronghold here to resist the bandits and defend the peace of the people. In order to thank the heroes of all walks of life for their great deeds, the people have a good story. According to legend, the accent "bell drum" in this area is close to "Donghu", which originally refers to the flat land a little far away from the water, but also named "Donghu Village".

In 2014, Xiushui county government invested 700 million yuan to develop Donghu village.

In 2015, Xiushui county completed the detailed planning for the construction of Donghu village.

In September 2016, Xiushui Donghu village was officially opened to the public.

topographic features

Xiushui Donghu village scenic area belongs to Danxia landform, with a radius of 3 kilometers. It is divided into two villages, big and small. It is composed of two towering rock mountains, separated by a rift valley with a depth of more than 300 meters and a width of several meters, commonly known as yinyinkeng. Yinkeng is connected by a huge stone (overpass). There are many cliffs around the village, and only the dangerous road (commonly known as Shibapan) leads to the top of Dazhai mountain. The terrain of the peak training ground is flat, covering an area of more than 5000 square meters.

Donghu village is the base of the uprising army in the period of Taiping Heavenly Kingdom. The caves, the training ground, the stone table, the spring well, the stone horse and the tie horse stake are well preserved, and there are rare bamboos growing.

Cave waterfall

Cave waterfall is the first scenic line to open Donghu village, with a drop of more than 30 meters. The waterfall runs down from the top of the mountain and the edge of the cliff. The waterfall runs in front of the plank road.

Jiangjunyan

Jiangjunyan is a typical conglomerate structure. There are many small round pits on the ground, which are made of weathered small stones. The silt deposited on the sea floor more than 80 million years ago formed Danxia landform after a large crustal movement, with 245 steps.

Jiujing Lake

Jiujing lake is one of the nine small lakes in Xiushui Donghu village scenic area. It is said that the weaver girl missed the cowherd. During the process of dressing up, she accidentally dropped the mirror in her hand to this place, forming nine small natural lakes.

Tianwang Bridge

Tianwang bridge is 115 meters long and 3 meters wide. It is more than 20 meters away from the water and can bear 85 tons

Thin strip of sky

A line of heaven is the only way to Donghu village. It has 72 steps. It is famous for its danger and uniqueness. Under the cliff, there is a deep abyss. It has the reputation of "the difficulty of Shu Road is hard to reach the sky".

A hundred Zhang ladder

Baizhang ladder has 729 steps, which is divided into three sections. The first section is called buta Shengyan, the second section is called gaobuyun canal. When you look up to your left, the green belt on the mountain is like a giant dragon lying prone on the top of the mountain. The local people call it WoLonggang, and the third section is called pingbu Qingyun. There are five horse shaped mountains in the East, West and North.

Magpie Bridge

Magpie bridge is located in the south of donghuzhai scenic area. It is an arch bridge made of glass.

Yinyinjian

Yinyinjian is 300 meters deep. According to legend, King Li Chuang put the gold and silver treasure he brought from the north here, so it is called Yinjian.

Dongshan Pavilion

Dongshanting, 440 meters above sea level, is the highest point of Donghu village and the best place for Donghu village to watch the sunrise.

Hongyan Temple

Hongyan temple was originally a Buddhist hall dedicated to Guanyin, which protected donghuzhai. Local people used to call it donghuzhai Buddhist temple. The original temple was destroyed in a fire in the last century, and was rebuilt and renamed "Hongyan Temple". First, the temple was built close to the mountain, and the rock mass was red. Second, it implied blessing the people.

Chlorophytum Valley

Chlorophytum Valley, because of the growth of Dendrobium officinale and get this name. Dendrobium officinale, also known as "Chlorophytum", is called "giant panda in medicine" by the international medicinal plant community, and "lifesaving fairy grass" by the folk.

Panlin Park

Panlin park is an outdoor sport introduced from France and designed by European designers. The project has obtained the CE safety certification of the European Union. It is an adventure project in the jungle, which integrates adventure, sports, entertainment and challenge. Through various interesting links, the project can cross all obstacles and reach the destination by climbing, sliding, swimming, crossing, jumping and flying.

Feilada rock climbing

Feilada rock climbing is located in the southwest of donghuzhai scenic area. The line of feilada rock climbing activity is about 400 meters long, with an elevation difference of 110 meters. A steel rope bridge is arranged on the way, and handrails are intentionally less installed on the line of more than 10 meters in the middle climbing section, requiring the use of natural rock points.

Cross country base

The track of donghuzhai cross-country base is divided into land and water, with a distance of 1.5 km.

No wet swimming pool

The non wet swimming pool is also called magic swimming pool. It comes from the swimming pools that have been exhibited in many art museums at home and abroad in China. People on and under the water can also interact through the rippling water surface.

Development and construction

Infrastructure

In July 2015, the subgrade and bridge of donghuzhai tourism project have been completed, and vehicles can pass to donghuzhai; the plank road has been built for more than 3000 meters, and nearly 500 meters long suspension bridge is under construction; the main building of the tourist center has entered the capping stage.

In March 2017, the newly constructed 1280 meter long feilada C line in Xiushui Donghu village scenic area was put into operation,

The completed projects include footpath and railings, steel wire suspension bridge, artificial dam, Donghu ancient village, Hongyan temple, tourist service center, feilada line, cruise project, shops, parking lots, public toilets, pavilions, etc.

Honorary recognition

In January 2018, Xiushui donghuzhai scenic spot was rated as 4A scenic spot by Jiangxi Provincial Tourism Development Commission.

In 2019, donghuzhai scenic spot will be selected as the pilot construction unit of national forest health base.

Legends and anecdotes

Jiangjunyan

It is said that in the late Ming Dynasty, Li Zicheng, the king of Chuang, led the army to this place, and the local people suffered a lot. After hearing this, the king of Chuang immediately sent troops to pacify the bandits. After pacifying the bandits, the king of Chuang benefited one side, and the people also said that they would "welcome the king of Chuang and not accept food". To commemorate his achievements, the villagers named this rock with the word "general". From a distance, it looks like a general standing tall.

 

Hero slope

It is said that Li Zicheng led his troops here from the north, and the topography of Donghu village is very different from that of the north. The soldiers are used to fighting in the plain. The "Chuang Wang" pretended this slope in order to train the soldiers' foot strength, so that they could compete with each other for training. Those who have been up and down for many times are called "Heroes", which is the origin of the hero slope.

 

Tianwang Bridge

It is said that after Dashun army stationed in zhadong huzhai, in order to defend against the invasion of foreign enemies, the army used a rope to link the two mountains. The soldiers went back and forth between the two sides of the Strait and made a secret order: "the king of heaven, the tiger of earth, the Huhu", and "Baota Town, the river demon, Baobao".
