Lianchi lake is the largest lake in Zuoying District of Kaohsiung City. It is known as "Lianchi Lake" when the lotus flowers bloom and smell for several miles in hot summer. "The caravan set out in Youshi / moving the spring and autumn twin towers into dusk / The mountains and lakes turn eastward at their feet, and even the black peaks are like gears. "The poem Zuo Ying by poet Zheng Chouyu describes the beautiful scenery of Lianchi lake. Now because of the special shape of Banping mountain and the dragon and tiger pagoda, the beautiful scenery of "lotus pond at sunset" is formed, which is a must for photography lovers.
There are many temples on the west side of the pool. There are more than 20 temples within 500 meters. It is also a famous temple tourist attraction in Kaohsiung. In October every year, the annual "lotus pond ten thousand year festival" is held here to enjoy the natural scenery and experience the traditional culture and religious atmosphere of Zuoying district.
