Longtan River scenic area is located in the North Bank of the middle and upper reaches of Hanjiang River, at the foot of Yangwei mountain, a branch of Qinling Mountains, within the territory of Yangwei Town, Yunxi County, Hubei Province. It is 50km away from Yunxi County in the East, 16km away from Baihe County in Shaanxi Province in the West and Hanjiang River in the south.
