Zhongdu Buddha Garden
Zhongdu Foyuan tourist area is located in Wenshang County, southwest of Shandong Province, adjacent to Sankong in the East, Liangshan in the west, Taishan in the north and Weishan Lake scenic spot in the south. It is a famous Buddhist cultural tourist attraction in China. Baoxiang temple, the core scenic spot of the scenic area, was built in the Tang Dynasty, formerly known as zhaokong temple. Song Zhenzong stayed in Wenshang when he was granted Taishan, and zhaokong temple was granted as Baoxiang temple.
After the Tang, song, yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, the incense is very popular. It has a history of more than one thousand years. It has become a geomantic treasure place for emperors, generals, celebrities and poets to visit and a famous Buddhist temple in Qilu. There are five tourist highlights in the scenic spot: the first is Jiulong guanding - Buddha's birth; the second is five colored glazed Reclining Buddha - Buddha's nirvana; the third is thousand Buddha underground palace - sacred relic; the fourth is pagoda Buddha light - Buddha's manifestation; the fifth is night sky auspicious clouds - Buddha's present life. After thousands of years of vicissitudes, the cultural relics in the temple are still well preserved. On March 15, 1994, 141 Buddhist relics, such as Buddha's teeth and Buddha's relic, were unearthed from the palace of Prince lingzhuota of Baoxiang temple. They are extremely precious, especially the Buddha's teeth and Buddha's relic of Sakyamuni, which made Baoxiang Temple famous as "the second Famen Temple" at home and abroad. Baoxiang temple is one of the earliest places to open to the outside world and carry out Buddhist activities.
